If you watch a movie and the hero dies, he's dead..no matter how many times you watch the movie..
I don't want the same thing in a game like Mass Effect..any other game, ok..but not mass effect..
that's the great thing about Mass Effect..choices, or dealing with the consequences of you choices..i don't want something as important as Shepards fate to be the one choice i have no say in, just because some people think it's more fitting to the overall theme of the story.
If you force the player to sacrifice himself, then it's not really heroic and epic..it's just lack of options..
This is not why i dislike the ending, and i won't hold anything against them if "rather than offer me the illusion of choice, take the liberty of choosing for me"..

I would like it as an ending that you actually have to work for..not one that comes no matter what you have done in the game.

Very well said!
Hold the line for as long as it takes to get new endings.

I understood that some people were going to die and I would lose friends, but all I wanted was the POSSIBILITY of my Shepard and my LI (Ashley/Miranda) surviving together.
I'd seriously pay the price of another game just to get that POSSIBILITY of an ending.

God only knows how much I wanted that myself - it seems so fitting after all they have been through. I even replayed ME3 to the point where Sheppard and Liara said they loved each other and then I stopped right there. I couldn't bring myself to go any further and ruin it all.
Yeah that really got me. i mean why even put the scene in their if there isn't even an option for a happy ending? It's like Bioware enjoys twisting the knife.

Yes, that scene with her was so moving. Your a braver man than me, I cant even bring my self to play it just knowing what will inevitably happen... pain, saddness, confusion... and you all know the rest.alberta wrote...

I really liked this one of Miranda. Very moving and should have been an option.

Wow, that is BEAUTIFUL. I'm not really into the Miranda romance, but I can see why others are.
Who did this, btw?

If I could only have ONE, than I would want it to be this one. This is what I've been building up to through my time with ME. I don't care about the war with the Reapers, it is just provides the context for my characterization of Shepard and my relationships with all the various characters. If I don't even get the CHANCE of having the future that the game has built me up to expect (blue babies, Rannoch, settling down, surviving, etc.) then I feel robbed.
