I agree. They need to use that potential. Show what happens if you live and your with your LI in one ending, and show your LI reaction if you die in another ending.ed87 wrote...
There wasnt enough Miranda if you follow her as your LI. It would have been great if there was a cutscene for every LI reacting to your victory/death. A lot of potential there

As for the ending, all I want is to know what happened with my squadmates and how the war ended.

Exactly I want my little blue children! Sorry people who romanced Jacob.unoriginalname1133 wrote...
There should definately be an option for being with you love interest. People who romanced Liara should get to have their little blue babies. Talimancers should get to build that house on Rannoch. People who romanced Jacob...are really out of luck anyway, but still!

Yeah Mass Effect has never been hard Sci-Fi like say 1984 it has always been space opera like Star Trek,Star Wars, and Babylon 5. Space opera always has some sort of happy ending even if it is a little dark there is still hope. There should be an option for a happy ending because it makes sense if you developed the story in certain ways.
The hope things makes sense to me and might be why the ending seemed so out of place and unfulfilling to me. Yes, ME3 had a very appropriately dark tone. Yet throughout-at least as a Paragon-there was the underlying glimmer of hope that still made it enjoyable. Because ME3 is fantasy, and if I work hard enough and get my team ready to go, we can do the impossible, whether that be Suicide Mission or Reaper genocide, because I'm Commander Freakin' Shepard and that's how I say it's going to be!
I don't think the ending should have been a Disney movie, but I expected one that fit the tone of the game(s) up until that point. And for whatever reason we probably will never know, I don't believe ME3's ending did.

Absolutely!!!! Yes and I know femShep will be the "father". So Shepard's father in law, Aetheyta being half Krogan (she jokingly says), and Liara being 1/4 Krogan, the kid will be 1/2 human (who killed a thresher maw on foot), 1/8 Krogan, 3/8 Asari. But Liara will say "it doesn't work that way. You two are impossible!" How much better could it get?
And quit saying "Disney Movie" -- Disney did "Old Yeller". I don't want an Old Yeller.

What people don't realise is that when Asari give birth their young explode out of their chest, Aliens style, and mercilessly devour the flesh of the their still living mothers. It's a horrific and terrifying ordeal for all involved. Obviously Liara skipped this part in her conversations with Shepard. Who is in for quite a shock, I'd imagine...

I still have not heard anyone tell me why having a happy ending as an option would hurt those who want a sad ending.
It's the same mentality behind the people who threw a hissy fit when BioWare decided to include an option for a male gay Love Interest for this edition (something I feel should have been in there from the start). I mean, seriously, who does it hurt to have more options? Nobody. It just makes people panic because they *think* that something is being taken away from them.
Just because an option is in the game doesn't mean you have to *follow* that option.

For some people 'better' is happy.
For some people 'better' is more detailed.
For some people 'better' is with no star child
For some people 'better' in an in depth look at what happens next.
Bioware keep getting told the ending needs to be 'better', but it's really a trap.
