Mass Effect is (well, was) a game about choice, where your choices mattered.
So, yes, I'd like an ending where Shep and their LI lived happily after defeating the Reapers. The same way I'd like a Reapers Win because you were too rash scenario.

Exactly. People that want happy endings should get them (It is the final game after all!) and those they don't can have the darker/bitter endings. But either way they need to fill the plot holes. An ending that makes sense and has diversity.

YES!!!! I wasn't fighting for everyone going back 1000 years because relays blew up. I wanted to kick the reapers asses and live happily ever after with Liara. I don't think that should have been the only ending, just like I don't think they should have stuck us with the basically linear ending that they did. Reapers die/leave, relays blow up, normandy crashes. What a lame ass way to end an epic trilogy.

Yes I too want an ending where Shep lives, EDI and the Geth live and my LI is around to greet me at the end and most of all the damn Reapers are dead or enslaved.

yeah i wanted that option, it would provide atleast some closure and it would make me happy to see my shep with ashley at the end of the game living happily ever after :')

Fully Agree! And everytime I think about us talking about the little blue children it makes me smile:D

Meh? I would go for it if it made sense, I think it could have been written that way.

But I was 90% sure Shepard wasn't walking away from this one. How many asteroids can one space heroes dodge, after all?

However, seeing the LI stranded on a weird planet after a even weirder set of events, and knowing that without the relays she'd probably die horribly? I mean, damn - my LI was Traynor. Traynor. She was smart, and funny and adorable - but I don't think she's lasting two weeks under wilderness survival.

I was hoping the LI would show up on the Citadel if she's a potential squad member. Shepards about to make his final choice, he knows he's going to die, but he won't die alone. His LI will be with him until the end. The choice is made, Shepard falls to the floor, exhausted, his LI beside him and they just sit together and look out as the galaxy is "saved."

Honestly I don't see why that couldn't have happened. If Anderson can show up, why not the LI? In all 3 games, the culmination of the romance has basically been the sex scene. In ME3 you do get another scene before the final assault at the FOB, but in the end, Shepard is alone. However the game ended, I think it would have been fitting for the person he cared for most to be with him in that final moment. Maybe they'd live happily ever after. Maybe they'd die. But at least they'd be together and not a galaxy apart.

Also, I did NOT spend all that time convincing Kaidan that I wasn't a pawn of the IM just to have him half way across the galaxy. Especially after that goodbye speech.
