I just want a better ending with less inconsistencies. That said, with Shepard dieing there could have been a pretty emotionally powerful scene there if your crew hadn't just abandoned you lol.

Point was clear. Everyone here is just not grasping how impossible it was to stop the reapers. But its not your fault. Your spoiled after being able to save everyone on a "Suicide Mission" in ME2. Most people have already sacraficed entire races. Some of your squadmates sacraficed their lives just for the "CHANCE" that you may stop the Reapers.

Happiness after this confilct was never an option. After losing so many squadmates you should have realized that. I'm ashamed to see that you guys cannot fully grasp how much of an accomplishment it was to "Stop the Cycle".

This has got to be the most arrogant generalisation I have read on these forums since this whole thing started.
Where do you get off on claiming that "everyone" here just don't get it?

I have no illusions as to what this fictional war would cost, sacrifice? Billions of lives across the galaxy are lost, entire planets, entire civilizations, entire races are gone. Earth, Palavin, Thessia and countless more worlds lay in ruin. Close friends gave their lives in the hope for a way to stop the Reapers so that their friends would have just that more of a chance to live.
We got sacrifice, suffering, pain and horror, we got that covered.

We all know this, we played the same games you did. And lets not forgett, these are games and Shepard lives in the "perfect" ending.
These are games we were told we would get to play our way and decide the outcome our way. They got it all right up until the very finale, the moment where everything is supposed to come together for the entire saga.

Is it so goddamn wrong of us to wish for a possibility in the endings where we see, if even just for a moment, our heroes reunited with his/her significant other? With the aftermath of the Reapers, yes, happiness will be brief. But just for that moment we get atleast some closure on our heros story.

Now if they could sort out the giant gaping plot hole that is the rest of the ending we are golden...

Damn right! We want a happy ending option!

Agreed. Shepard returning to a devestated Earth where the survivers of his or her team (including LI) awaits seems like a mandatory ending. Its not a "Roses and rainbow ending", just a survival and rebuilding of a devestated world and galaxy-ending with your surviving friends and loved ones at your side.

Count me in. Either the Normandy somehow picked Shep up off the Citadel so s/he's on Gilligan's planet with their LI and friends, or the Normandy's crew finds a way to repair the ship and head back to Earth to find Shep (would take a long time, and perhaps only a few close friends/LI attempt the journey while the rest stay and are the ancestors of the Starchild). I would be perfectly fine with the mass relays destroyed/rebuilding galactic civilization from the ground up implications of the ending so long as Shep could find comfort in that difficult future with the ones s/he cares about.

I don't know why it can't be an option.

Of course, While I think most people do want that, the beauty of what usually makes Mass Effect great is giving you the choice. If you want to play a different way, then you should be able to play differently.

Bur yes, I want my happily ever after ending with Tali

Sure, I'd like to be given that option. I'd also like to see an option where the Reapers win too. I think we'd all like a nice variety of different options to experiment with.

I totally agree. Although i have to admit that i would like one option ending to be the happy ending! I actually wrote one in a thread.      http://social.biowar...ndex/9794808
But thats just me, The ending you said would aslo be great to have.

Should be an option. You should have to meed certain requirements and gain enough war assets to accomplish it. Why the hell did I spend an entire 38 hours trying to complete everything to get the best possible outcome? Shouldn't just be an absolutely this is what you get. But it should be in the options based off of all the choices you made. Oh wait, none of those choices matter in the end.

I will check it out. Meanwhile, here is one suggestion on how to make a "realistic happy ending" happen:

Yes. I wouldn't mind an optional ending for the people that would want a happy ending with their LI. Worked so hard at all the games. Shep needs a happy ending with their LI.

I've honestly never really cared much for the LI's in ME as much as people on the forum do.

It'd have been nice to have a relatively happy ending though where you can embrace your LI, cause a lot of fans do want that.

I would feel like playing the series again if such an ending were available. Right now Mass Effect is dead to me.

My personal view is that Shepard was the one person who deserved above everyone else to live on in a post-reaper galaxy and I found it tragic that s/he has to die to get victory. I loved it! I think though that after who knows how many combined hours of playtime we'd have added up, more endings would be nice

**edit** (Caught the submit button somehow)
but not really necessary. The main thing IMO is to plug some of the big plot holes in the ending we have and make the end fit together.

Id love to have the OPTION to be alive with the LI. There's currently three grim options (dead, alive but alone, and even AI form) I'd like that one too. Also I'd like dead squad members to stay dead and not going into zombie mode on the Normandy cutscene and Joker staying on Earth, even if he dies in the battle.

You know the more I think about it the more I am sure that if i could get an ending(with out Multiplayer)where Shepard ends up living happily with Liara if I beat every sidequest and got everyone on my side the more I am sure i would be going around with a huge smile on my face for days.  Bioware please listen and make it.
