That has been established through all three games.
There may be moments of insecurity, yes, but in the end she/he is all about pulling through.
If you have any LI from ME1 or 2, Shepard just wouldn't accept dying separated from her/ him.
It's just not part of Shep's being.

I would like the choice Bioware, like you have always given us before, choice
You nailed it. this whole thing is not about Shepard dieing or any of the other stuff the media has staid it's about it's about the fact that we were told we would have choice we didn't get in the end. I mean the closet we can get to a happy ending is the hero may be alive and you have to be able to play multiplayer to get that. Who on earth thought this wa sa good idea?!

For me it all boils down to the fact that Shepard will never give up, no matter what.

yeah that felt so out of character for me. I mean I have many Shepards but the only I played through ME3 with was the one who never gave up when people's lives were on the line and stayed faithful to Liara even when he didn't know if he would ever see her again and yet in the end he just gives up. No way was that in character for the Shepard I created.

Absolutely. The idea that Shepard would just bend over to this nine-year old Catalyst seems absurd, especially after giving TIM and the Reapers the biggest middle finger in history.

That said I don't want it to just end with the Reapers going bye bye and the
galaxy being left with unicorns and rainbows frollocking in the fields. If I choose I would also like to be able to fly round the galaxy at will and help clean up after the Reapers, take back Omega, fight pirates and mercs, play fetch with whiny civvies who can't find their own randomly generated ancient artifacts. That sort of thing.

No, I don't want that. The whole point of the story was that the Reapers are an incredibly powerful and nearly unstoppable race of machines. The only way to stop them would require the most catastrophic and sacrificial actions. Duh?
Bioware is about "Your story" not "A story". Choices and haveing options. Watch this video this guys says it all. If you played good all the way threw the 3 games then you deserve a good ending!

I dont know how far I could go to be satisfied..its like a really good series which you dont want to end.. I mean, even though Jacob was my least fav. character I would still like to go to rio to have that drink with him..but its not really necessary. But what I do want is that ending with my LI, I want my shepard to survive (and have little blue children) .. He earned it.

Exactly. If we do badly, and not get a high EMS then, by all means, give us a terrible ending where the Reapers kill everyone, or a average ending where organics prevail but with massive casualites. And if we do everything right, then we deserve a happy ending.
Railroading Shepard into dying for no reason is simply poor writing.

Well said but I am not sure we will get a new ending it's looking like Bioware's statment that they listening was just PR BS. Still we need to hold the line the fact that they are jerking us around proves we have done some damage if we keep it up even they don't want to EA may force them to give us some good endings. EA did not buy them so they could lose fans and become the center of a internet firestorm. EA bought them because they have loyal following that helps them always turn a profit. if we stand together and don't buy anything from them we can win this thing. Don't forget to send in those letters on Saturday.
I only bought the game because of interviews like that and now I am stuck with a game I don't enjoy that I can't replay or resell. We should ge the product they told us we were getting for our $80.
Hold the Line.

What annoys me is that my LI survived my Shepard's choice. See, my FemShep fell for Kaiden in ME1, stayed faithful to him in ME2, rekindled the romance in ME3 and chose the "brave new world" option at the end, to make everyone and everything a synthetic/organic hybrid. She heard, over the radio, that her final squad died in the final push. Kaiden, in his final scene, said he'd not want to lose her again. But, with the Synthesis choice, he survives, without her, as a hybrid. If there's an afterlife, Shepard is there without him. I'd have preferred that he died with her, in the end.

I on the other hand find that the whole point of the story was that Shepard was a hero that could succeed even when all the odds where against her/him.
So having options in the final part of the game would make us both happy and avoid all this mess.
