I was using the N7 weapons, since the first time i could change my loadout, because they're cool looking. And in regular gameplay that was fine, some minor clipping into the helmet on mars, but still.
But then a cutscene, and out pops a pistol/ rifle, i've long since left behind and i'm not even carrying anymore. (the first pistol and rifle, you get actually) In this example i'm on mars but it happens afterwards as well.
Now what i'm wondering if everyone has this, or was it because i was using the N7 stuff, and its just not that integrated into the game. Would switching to the vindicator of Phaeston help?
Magic cutscene weapons?

Sometimes the cutscenes show characters with equipped weaons, sometimes they show them with default. I've seen both my pistol-carrying Shepard and Liara with assult rifles! THe inconsistency is jarring and ruins the impact of the cutscene.
Especially frustrating when someone I really want to shoot is escaping and my Shepard is shooting this silly popgun of a pistol and I'm yelling at the screen 'I have a -ing Widow sniper rifle - shoot the -ing car out of the sky arrgghh!".

Yes, jarring that exactly the word. And it so true. Thanks anyway for the reply.

I can concur with this. On the Geth Fighter Squadron mission on Rannoch during the cutscene of your squad leaving the shuttle, the Avenger rifle was in the hand of Shepard and Ashley, yet both had been equipped (for quite some time) with the Mattock rifle. (there are a few other cut scenes)
I don't mind if they sometimes show Shepard drawing a pistol (this was the case in ME2 where every cutscene seemed to start with Shepard being unarmed, but at least it was consistent), but in ME3 it sometimes shows the correct weapon and other times not.
Further, I think this is an issue that creates more clipping when the characters try and hold the gun and their hand sometimes pokes through parts of the gun that are supposed to be solid.

Yeah I find it very..... annoying.
And to a lesser extent missions like the 2 Geth missions where afterward your weapons are actually removed and replaced with the default pistol.
I can deal with the physical weapon swap since its so rare, but the visual swaps dont make sense to me in the least.
