Yes an ending with a Shepard speech. That hurt the most Shepard just taking the spoon fed Star Child crap.

Makes sense shouldn't be to hard to put in either they don't really need to change that much either which makes it cheaper for bioware to do and the fans get what they want

Optional: If at high enough EMS and paragon points, after the credits, we see Shepard opening his eyes.

The rest of it is alright, but the quoted sentence I have an issuea with, just like how I did in the Destroy ending.

How does having amassed an enormous fleet of many different species, both organic and synthetic, alter one man's chances of surviving an explosion/whatever else? It doesn't. It's stupid.

Given the fact that Shapard wounds are sustained on the way to the beam it makes perfect sense that his condition is a function of how large the force was covering his advance.

As to the OP suggestion, definitely superior to what we got.

I don't expect Bioware to actually use this idea, but I do like that it is becoming popular. If Bioware really had no plans on Ending DLC already, they sure as heck are considering it now. And this idea is one that I am sure they have come across, and likely considered parts of it, at least.

As I have said before, unlike many of the Ending DLC ideas on the Forums, this one both makes complete sense, and is very easily implemented to the current game. It doesn't "change" the ending already in place; it simply adds to it. That's the solution we need. One that is entirely optional to what already exists.

Bioware is already being hurt by all the attention we have produced. A new copy of ME3 on Amazon was already down to $45 when I looked. I genuinely don't want Bioware hurt. I want a solution that benefits all of us

I once thought that a new ending was needed then I watch this.

It made sense and the clues all added up.

OP I like your writing but There is not need for it.

A little short, but exactly the direction my Shepard would have gone.

That's definitely good. It presents the AI child as a flawed machine, not as the embodiment of universal truth.

I would change the AI child's sudden acceptance, however. After countless cycles he wouldn't just leave because someone said "No.".

I like this one. A lot. certainly better than what Bioware gave us. but that's not a hard bar to clear.

Some people only listen/learn when they feel pain. I feel sad that this is the case for Bioware but I'm unwilling to see the hurt stop until I KNOW they 'heard' us.

Honestly, it's such a simple solution that I can't figure out why BioWare didn't think of it. This whole time, from ME1 to ME3, Shepard has been fighting to end the Reapers' cycle of destruction and create a new future for the galaxy. For him to suddenly give in at the end and accept the Catalyst's decrees, rather than continuing to take a stand for the galaxy and force a different option, is a betrayal of both the story and Shepard's character.

I like it, it would work I'm sure.

But there's a problem, it requires new dialog, that's probably too much effort, I mean... think about it, they'd have to contact the voice actors AGAIN? Meh, too much to ask for. Oh and, to pay them, too.

I think we'd be talking for a long time about how awesome it was for Shepard to be faced with what amounts to a god and tell it, "no." It would be a very Shepard thing to do, standing up to what seems to be a supreme being.

The Reapers claimed to be the absolute best of everything, and Shepard calls them on it and takes it to them, so I'm not seeing why it would be different now.

like this for the most part. I agree it's the kind of thing I expect shep to say. Instead we got "Reapers are the best #WINNING!!" and shep just says "ok, so you sure this will work and destroy the reapers?" Kid:"Yep" shep: "Hmm ok fk it let's give it a whirl you've never led me wrong"

The entire premise of the three endings are based on the belief that created and creator cannot coexist

The ending is just so un-Shepherd like. The resounding theme throughout the trilogy has been faith, hope and perseverance. He said it to Harbinger himself during Arrival.

That, to me, is the biggest grievance.

Yep that would have worked. Send BioWare your resume, they might be hiring writers soon.

That wasn't bad at all. Still could have some more epicness to go along with the whole series, but an acceptable ending.

"I am Garrus Vakarian and this is my favorite ending on the cidadel!" Honestly, i would prefer something akin to the indoc. theory, but if they have to take the "cheaper" way out, this would be better... hell! anything is better than what we have here.
