I am pretty upset that ALL of the male romances in ME2 carried over, but only ONE carried over for femshep...am I supposed to be okay with this because they added female characters that I can romance instead?  It is complete crap!

It feels like even femshep has been considered from a "what men would like to see" angle, since I can't continue my romance with thane, but I can go screw diana or the secretary chick.  2 out of the 10 options are practical for a straight femshep...TWO.  Why couldn't you take the time to include Thane and Jacob and leave out the uninspired and random new characters that are clearly in place as a sexy lesbian pursuit? 

I am devastated by this right now and almost don't even want to continue with the game.    It is beyond unfair and I feel like I've been screwed over completely.

I had a feeling I couldn't be the only one appalled by this, but I've been trying to avoid looking through the threads since I haven't finished the game yet...however, I felt livid enough to start my own so I could get help coping from someone, anyone.    You will have to restock that bar soon, I'm going to finish off all of it...

It's sad when you have a character that is better to kill off in the previous game than leave him as he is in the next. Never felt like I was treated badly by Bioware writers until now. This is going to take some time to get over. And the resentment is permanent, I think.

Exactly! It does seem to be unfair that so many of FemShep's LIs are treated poorly compared to the choices available for the storylines of MaleShep's LIs.

I haven't even seen Jacob yet but even though I didnt romance him I can already tell that he's been unfairly treated also. Why would they do this? I sincerely can't understand how devoting development time to make new gay characters that have no prior inventment from fans won out over developing continued stories for character we already grew to love...why not just make some of the old characters suddenly open to same-sex relationships, that way everyone would have been happy...

And considering thane apparently dies, I guess I would have been better off letting him die in 2 also...I guess my shep will just be forever alone because Bioware clearly has no regard for my emotional attachments. They sure as hell want my shepard to be lesbian though...WTF Bioware.

It's a complete disgrace, not ONE of the Maleshep LIs gets the shaft, while TWO femshep ones do!!! In addition MShep gets an additional 3 options (all SS) while Fshep only gets ONE leaving her with only Kaidan or Garrus as the straight options.

Can you IMAGINE the outcry if Tali broke it off with Shepard because Kal Reeger had got her pregnant? I think Tali and Kal are a better couple than Shep and Tali but I wouldn't want my views (as I'm no fan of Tali) imposed upon those fans that truly care. What about making Miranda die as part of the canon? BW didn't do this because they had a nice soft minority target in us, they even shafted our LIs to pander to those who don't really give a damn about the character.

seriously, bioware, one option, when you kill off one ME2 LI and inexplicably character assassinate another? i honestly don't understand the reasoning behind this (there probably wasn't any)

jack was also suffering from mental deterioration due to her biotics and was slated to die as thane was (they were mirror'd as ashley and kaidan were, i think), but this was swept under the rug for whatever reason

EXACTLY!!  You would NEVER see that in the game! It's completely unfair!  It's like their priorities were to ****** us off above all else, then offer lots of sexy situations for maleshep and men playing femshep.  You can't honestly tell me they didn't know they would be getting this type of reaction, but I guess since they view us as the minority (no matter how devoted we were to this game) our wants are insignificant.

Hetero Male :  Ashley, Liara, Tali, Miranda, Jack, Diana
Hetero Femshep:   Kaiden, Garrus.

We get a THIRD of options. WTFF!!!??

(and no body give me crap about Liara not technically being a girl cause she has ****** therefore she's a ladyperson.)

But luckily lezzie femshep gets Liara, Diana, and that new secretary chick, so I guess we can all be happy right? Cause that fairly evens things out!  Cause clearly all us girls really do want to explore with sexy other females at heart because its hot and turns guys on...I'm just assuming that's what Bioware was thinking at least.

I would have welcomed more romances but I am more upset that they left out Thane and Jacob even though all the LIs for men in 2 were included no question...

Wow. That IS insane. C'mon. I support my better half tapping Miranda and Morrigan. Kaidan was alright, and I've got nothing but love for my Turian bro4life...BUT DAMN!

Yes, but you must remember femShep was used as a marketing gimmick, so all is good and equal! *scoffs*

This is already being discussed at social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/325/index/9766428 , and yes it's rather silly. I went through the whole game with a Kaidan-dead-at-Virmire import and literally no-one to romance. I couldn't even have Garrus, for reasons never explained. Joker basically told me to f-off, and James lost his bravery at the last hurdle.

I just finished my first playthrough of ME3 yesterday.
I romanced Kaidan.
It was story-line brought all the way from ME1.
I was very disappointed with ME2 not including Kaidan.
Just a quick visit on a planet where he scolds FemShep.
Then an email.
And that's it for the entire game.
From all of our disappointment came promises that ME3 would make up for it.
I must say - there was much improvement to this script in ME3 - concerning the Kaidan romance and including him in the game.
However, I wish I could have written the script.
I wish I could have added all the conversations with all of their options that I could think up - that would have been such a benefit to the experience.
A deep sigh over here.
Maybe straight female gamers are a minority or maybe not...
Maybe we all need to raise our voices so that they will be heard.
Instead of just griping -
Lets tell game developers what we want.
Let's list all the details with example conversations and send them to script writers working on games.
Let's tell them where our disappointments lie, but also share what we want, how they can make it a better experience for their female gamer customers.
