If I preordered CE edition on steam, are the DLCs already in the game or am I suppoesd to get codes to redeem them from the bioware site?  Because I haven't recieved any such codes from steam so far.

Also, do I get to see what my codes are if I log into the social site after I've installed the game on steam? I mean, because I might want to reinstall the game when i switch comps etc and I want to have the actual codes so that if anything happens and suddenly im missing one of the CE items and such that I could go to EA and tell them "hey look here's my code its right there on the site"..

Also, about Future DLCs, will they also be bought through steam without getting a DLC code, or will  those be bought in a different way?

thanks.

Steam will not sell any future DLC. And other people with CE's just got codes so I think it will be the same for Steam. DLC content is not included on the main disc (that's why it is DLC :P).

You'll get the codes you need to redeem through the same system everyone else uses.

Wait... so your saying in the future any other DLC people on steam won't have access too?

Yes, they will have access to it - but they cannot get it through steam. They will have to go to for example EA and buy it from them, install it, and then play the game (through steam).

You just won't be able to buy DLC through the STEAM-client.

Nobody is saying that.  Just that Steam won't handle it.  Steam won't handle any DLC, actually, except to hand out codes for the release DLC.  Steam users can still buy DLC through EA, same as everyone else.

The site has been incredibly busy lately, might have something to do with that.

from what I've seen, the game itself interfaces with the DLC "store" so steams install of the game should work perfectly no matter the install medium.

ok, but are the 'ON RELEASE DLCs' already integrated with the game when I download it from steam, or am I supposed to get a code to redeem them from the ea store? anyone know?

Steam does not handle any DLC data.  You have to redeem a code with EA.  Supposedly through an interface within Dragon Age.
