If you are having problems with your galaxy map not updating or loading properly we now have a workaround that should work for most users.

If you are experiencing this problem please visit this page:

It will tell you if you have the needed Mass Effect persona that is used by Galaxy at War. If you don't a button will display that you can click to create the persona.

If it does say you have a persona but the map is still not loading please post here and we'll try to debug your problem further.

*NEW*
If you have recently changed your password try these steps:
1. Sync your ME3 profiles => http://social.biowar.../?action=detect
2. Enter your password on the GaW page => http://social.biowar.../galaxy_at_war/

Just so people know the website only lets you update your galaxy map every 30 minutes. So if it doesn't work immediately here on BSN that will be why. The game should work immediately though.

iLL Burs I suspect that is your issue.

As far as I know the galaxy map not loading problem would only affect your multiplayer, in that your zone ratings won't increase as you play. Once you have the fix they should start increasing as you play.

I think your upgraded multiplayer character should still be accounted for because that is considered a war asset. It would just be the zone ratings that won't have updated.

Online pass problems would be a separate issue and you should contact EA technical support for that. That being said how were you able to fix yours?

storyman2k, try changing your password. Some people have reported that as fixing the problem you're having.

We recently changed the way data is loaded for the achievements and multiplayer pages. So at the very least those should work for people who have been having problems.

Try this:

If it still isn't working after that you'll have to talk to EA Support because it isn't something I can fix.

Are you sure? I checked your account and you don't have a Mass Effect persona which is needed for the galaxy map. Please read the first post again and create the persona by using the help page.

Hmm... what PSN ID are you using when playing? The one linked to your account doesn't seem to have any data.

Yes N7 HQ is meant for multiplayer players.

I believe the GaW servers were down for a bit this morning, that might have been why you couldn't connect.

Hey guys, sorry for taking so long to get back to you. The only fix I can help with is creating a "masseffect" persona in the EA system. That is the most basic requirement needed to get Galaxy at War working and it is what the script in the first post does.

If you are still having problems it may be that the Galaxy at War server is having issues or that something is wrong with the game server. However, those are all things I'm not able to fix. One possible problem, other than the two I just mentioned, is that it doesn't always like passwords containing characters other than A-Z or 0-9. So if you are having problems you could try changing your password to just use those characters.

If you are having problems and the script from the first post doesn't fix it you will have to contact EA Customer Support. Jeff and I are part of the web team so are limited in what we can help with. Site Help is intended as a board where we try to help fix problems you are having with the BSN but since we interface with a number of different services not under our control we can't always provide a solution. And as Just-Me mentions we can't always be around to answer every question so if you can't find a solution here you should try contacting EA CS.
