Wonderful ending! We really need to have those war assets actually mean something to us.
This guy got the ending right!!

"
"Shepard: No you've given me YOUR options. We've shown you we can win, and you're looking for a way out, a way to cripple us because you can't do it the way you used to. You failed at playing God and now you want me to wipe out your mistakes! Well I won't. I choose what we've ALWAYS chosen. I choose to take our damn chances."
^ This. This so much

Truly, I think you should have been a consultant at the very least. I enjoyed every bit of this.
The bad endings won't go away, but this...helps.

nice one!!!
Pretty sad when the Mass Effect 2 preview cinematic is more epic than the trilogy finale.

So the star child is Harbinger screwing with shepard...
Seems like something that Harby would do XD

Wonderful. Very fun to read. You should enter this into the "re-dub" category of Bioware's Citadel Days competition. You'll win for sure.

This is amazing. Absolutely amazing, and as a writer myself, I can honestly say that this is the ending Mass Effect deserved.

Until further notice, I think I might use this as the canon ending...even if it isn't.

Exactly! This is probably the best ending I've read on BSN. Though there are lots of great ideas floating around.

By far the most apt way to end this trilogy. I was especially annoyed by the fact that I spent all these hours collecting assets and races to help me fight the reapers, and all it really influenced was the level to which Earth was destroyed. I mean, all endings basically end the same, just with minor changes. If I got a chance to actually use those thousands of imaginary assets, and to fell like my journey had a purpose, then ME3 would go down in my book as one of the best games ever, and certainly, certify, without a doubt in my mind, that ME as a whole, was one of the best, if not the best, trilogies of all time.

This actually ties in perfectly with the idea of Shepard being indoctrinated and the concept of having the player wait before the fourth and best option presents itself is sublime. This is the ending Mass Effect and its fan deserve.
Bioware really has no excuse now, gamers have done all the leg work toward building a new ending. The indroctrination concept by the posters in the "Was the ending a hallucination?" thread started by BSN member bryne and now this. The two together make perfect sense of the ending allowing Bioware to keep it and simply add these suggestions to flesh out the details the current endings lack. Bravo gamers...Bravo!

That ending would have been perfect. I don't care if we still had the other endings, but we should have been given the choice to screw the damned choices. I wanted to hold the line, not annihilate everything that my Shepard had worked and stood for.

THIS! Look a real ending with actual continuity! Why not this Bioware? I am truly ashamed with the writers and production staff for thinking that us fans will buy into the material they just hacked together!
Why's the Normandy fleeing the Sol system?
Why's the crew I was planetside with on the damn ship?
Seriously? Do you think I'm dumb?
I'm selling my EA stock and cancelling my SWTOR subscription in protest -- apparently Bioware/EA thinks I'm dumb.
