This made my day, thank you so much for posting it. It was very epic! =3

Here's hoping something similar is put into the game in the near future (very very near future. lol)

No problem :) always happy to help fellow sufferers out there!!!

The most disappointing thing for me was never seeing all of my assets fighting for survival. I really wanted to see a Krogan riding a Kakliosaur into battle.

tis scene has everything we were looking for - emotion, logic, a rational explanation. a truly epic ending. i'm still not a fan of the whole I-am-the-Citadel-and-the-Catalyst child thing, but this i can buy into.

hell, maybe we can find out that the Crucible was simply a way of unifying the various galactic races - something the Protheans couldn't do because they marched all over everyone instead of the way our cycle has developed. the Catalyst is the Crucible. the star-child is Harbinger reaching into Shepard's mind (the child dying on Earth) and trying to **** with Shepard's head in an attempt to stay alive.

THIS is exactly what I would have satisfied me after seeing the stupid deus ex machina star child. And it could be easily implemented to the current ending! I actually stood and stared at the star child for a while - couldn't believe this was really all going to end as space magic. Then I shot him a lot. What I would give to have this ending instead!

I would have cried many manly tears of joy had the game ended like this. More than I cried manly tears when Thane died. More so than when Mordin died.

This would have been perfect, except the godchild-thing still renders the ME1 plot completely moot.

It's better, no doubt about that, but it still has God-child popping out of nowhere with his Battlestar Galactica "synthetics/organics can't coexist" preachings.

This thread proves that people didn't want endings that made sense, they want rainbows and sunshines.

Which part of the reapers can't be defeated by conventional means didn't people get? Yes it required a superman clause (which always suck), but the endings were at least consistent with what had been established.

God, I SOOOO wanted to have that 4th option. Because that's just not how Shep rolls, he doesn't take advice from some god-child that thinks it knows everything. Shep would tell him off just like that, and god down in a blaze of glory. man, this ending gave me chills. too bad it's all TEXT, and not actual cinematics.

@Tahleron: dude it was explained enough. the Reapers kept winning every cycle because they were always successful in pulling the galaxy's races apart. ALWAYS. Shep is the first to actually unite the entire galaxy against them and create the crucible. it makes sense given the games history.

I understand what you were trying to do, and it does offer a much better sense of closure in seeing the stuff that you did throughout the game matter a little bit, but there is just one hurdle that's too large to overcome, given the previous lore established by the game.

There's no way the Reaper armada would ever lose to the combined fleets. Just think of what it took to bring down Sovereign (and even then it was only brought down because of the killing of it's avatar/Saren's husk disrupted its shields).

Bioware should hire you and replace those "writers". They need someone who knows what the fan wants, and not some "fat and obnoxious woman who hates video games" as a writer.

OP: Like it. Gave me chills. And especially Shepard's fourth way out of the mess ... that's Shepard.

Kudos.

That's brilliant. I actually took a few shots at the kid thinking maybe that's how I get past these false choices I was given.

I love the scenes you created for us. Thanks ssyyllaarr!

This could be the ending ME saga deserves, OP.

But, I'd also like to see Shep (with his/her LI) on Earth. Or something similar that would express 'This is not the end, it's the beginning.'

Awesome ending idea. And yeah, I would've liked a happy rainbows ending as a goal to work towards, if assets and decisions were good enough.
