Have to say I never liked the guy. But if they had made Jack or Miranda be all "Hay Shep yeah your cool but I'm with this new guy and I like him way better than you." I would have been UBER pissed. Just seems kinda ****ty of Bioware to have done this. There must be some hurting Jacob Fangirl/boys out there...

In a way, it's not terrible. Shepard is given the chance to drop one LI for another, so it isn't inconceivable that one of the LIs might move on when presented with someone else they prefer. Sure, it kind of sucks that it happens, but it also sucks when that happens for real.

To be honest, I never really liked the Jacob/Kasumi thing. It seemed to set in way too quickly after Kasumi had just barely gotten closure with Keiji.

Honestly I liked it. Caught a lot of folks off guard that a LI could do this to you instead of the other way around. Was kinda nice to see the shoe on the other foot, sorry for the jacobmancers...all 6 of them.

I cheated and watched the "heavy risk, but the priiiiiizze" vid on youtube and couldn't take him seriously. I can't have sex with someone after saying something like that. they rewritten him into this faithless lying ****, who didn't even bother to contact Shepard first. most of us are either not importing Jacobmancing Shepards or redoing suicide mission so that he dies there and doesn't have to suffer this indignity of the.. I don't know what the hell bioware was thinking when they decided to make this arc happen no matter what.

I'm surprised at how they handled the Thane romance. Nobody expected him to live, but he apparently has very little romance content.
Then again, I got a Hollywood kiss with Garrus, so I'm not complaining
I understand what Bioware did when they "got rid" of the Jacob romance, but they didn't have to be so extreme.

Pretty much this. I would be very surprised if anyone seriously romanced Jacob; that romance was designed to be a joke (at least that's the way I see it).
I cannot imagine anyone could actually take that romance seriously enough to get upset that he found someone else. I just don't see how it's possible.
