I think they wanted to give jacob a happy ending. Even though he was on the citadel... when the reapers came.... so he is dead. And his baby has no dad.

My second Shep, first FemShep, went with Jacob after dumping wet-blanket Kaidan.

I have no idea what I'm gonna have her do now. She's a hard-ass renegade and won't get over the Horizon mess easily. No way she goes back to Kaidan... which basically leaves her with no one. Maybe she'll go lez... ugh.

I never liked Jacob but man I feel sorry for anyone who romanced him. I thought Thane had next to no romance content, Jacob is worse.

I saw a video where Shepard goes to talk to his new GF and she goes "Jacob's happier with me." I'm sure many wanted a renegade interrupt and WHO says something like that to Commander Shepard. Death wish? xD

its funny. people feel absolutely justified in ****ting all over Jacob's romance arc and pat each other on a back at their cleverness, but if I dare say anything about how horribly Kaidan's new romance in ME3 arc was implemented (especially for maleshep, becasue its even more out of the blue then femshep - there are NO clear triggers to it and it took me several speedruns to figure out what they were and they are complete opposite of obvious) - and I get bashed.

Well I wouldn't know about Kaidan, I had planned a romance run with him after Liara and Garrus, all 3 being loved by me for varying reasons but... yeah now I don't want to.

But could it get worse than "JOKER'SWAITINGFORYOUONTHEBRIDGE"?

Wow. That's harsh. Coming from someone who REALLY had to dig deep to give Kaidan a chance. I romanced him and Garrus. Jacob's romance is just the 3rd biggest "dump on you" from Bioware. lol. Take a wild guess what the first and second are?

Oh Joker. The only one on the Normandy that will turn Shep down.

Pretty much this. I would be very surprised if anyone seriously romanced Jacob; that romance was designed to be a joke (at least that's the way I see it).

I cannot imagine anyone could actually take that romance seriously enough to get upset that he found someone else. I just don't see how it's possible.

Aww. That's mean. Jacob wasn't my thing either but that doesn't mean I don't respect peeps feelings that do like Jacob. I do make fun of them regularly... but at this situation, no, I don't. If that had been done to Garrus, I'd be out to stab a beyatch right now, lol.

I remember how P*SSED I was when Kaiden blew Shepard off on Horizon then sends a mail saying he's going on a god damn date. Talk about burn. I wouldn't wish that on anyone and this was worse.

It doesn't me personally as I never romanced him and I see what they did with the "not every romance works out", but I still feel bad for the peeps that really did like Jacob.

He actually has some pretty good dialogue in ME2, if you can get past the cringeworthy tone of voice delivered by Hale and the laughable sex scene.

I shall admit the whole EDI/Joker thing ticked me the hell off.
Oh no we won't give Shep and Joker a romance because Joker wants to get it on with some sexbot!

I'd probably be constantly complaining about that if not for that damn ending.

lol i agree.  im not into memes but this made me laugh pretty good.

jacobs a creeper. he seemed corny in ME2, id rather have had the jacob from that galaxies peice of crap game. ME3 jacob to me seemed like a weird ladys man type douche bag. i mean come on get out of the hospital and quit hitting on the nurses.
