I think it would be more unfair if it happened with the VS considering people loyal to the VS had to deal with on Horizon. Though I think due to fanbase the Garrus/Tali group would be louder about it

I was hoping he'd get together with Kasumi.  She needs someone to get her out of her gray box.

Yup, I felt the same way. But hey, some peeps liked it. I don't judge. I might laugh behind their backs but I don't judge, lol.

Well I wouldn't know about Kaidan, I had planned a romance run with him after Liara and Garrus, all 3 being loved by me for varying reasons but... yeah now I don't want to.

But could it get worse than "JOKER'SWAITINGFORYOUONTHEBRIDGE"?

if you are doing import its much harder to screw up and has a couple of nice extras.  but if you want to do a new romance?  don't pick any renegade options.  and in a hospital, when he asks if you are cool with Horizon and Mars?  pick, its done.

if you chose renegade responses on Mars (whcih are perfectly reasonable role playing options for most people, casue you know, you can be angry at someone who doesn't trust you and change your mind when they are almost dead) - it locks romance out.  if you say you are fine with Horizon - for now.  it locks romance out.  there are no flirts.  none of this involved the alcohol you can buy.  and if you don't want him to hit on you and are just being a nice little paragon who cares about the crew - surprise, surprise - he hits on you anyways.  and the best part is?  dialogue throughout is virtualy identical.  even when you pick different options.

its not as bad of a copy paste as Joker is wating for you on a bridge, but its just as bad as you being friendly in ME1 and having no option to say that you are just being friendly, as all 3 responses you get make him think you are flirting back.  unless you are either ****y in a responce right before (I was bored), or skip some of the dialogue.  or bear with it, and break it off later.

every other new LI in ME3 has clear romance starters.  Kaidan is stuck with a ninjamance that you have to reject.. unless you try to ropleplay as angry Shepard who thaws eventualy, in which case, you lock yourself out without even realizing you did, untill its too late.  good job, bioware. 

that said - between Jacob, Thane and the endings?  I don't even want to import my Garrusmance anymore.  the test speedruns I did were with non imports and took like 2 hours each.

edited to add - Kaidan romance in ME3 and Jacob romance in ME2 have a lot in comon.  gotta get past the bad start to the good part.  even if the good part is copy pasted, its still pretty well written.  and the most ironic part is, once you are IN a romance, Hale actualy sounds like a normal human being when coming about to chat.

Hm, I don't know. On the one hand, I think it's a neat idea, but I certainly wouldn't think it was neat if, say, Kaidan shacked up with someone else. I know the Jacob romance wasn't popular, and it wasn't my cup of tea either, but it does seem harshly unfair - especially given that there isn't a female character to be the counterpoint of it.

also this.  and no, don't tell me about f/f options, seeing as maleshep doesn't have the same restrictions and  gets one full new female romance (Liara) and one fling in ME3, even if the player kills Ashley.

I haven't tried it myself but I think you can still go for Liara. I saw a line of dialogue in there somewhere that made it seem that way at least.

I feel for Jacobmancers. They got more screwed than us Thanemancers, who at least have the option of headcanon to fill in the gaps.

Hetero romance. I know there are about a gazillion lesbian ones I'm not interested in.

You humans are all racist. It's not considered lesbo, their entire species is female and they don't make those kind of observations toward romance.

But, you could always just flirt with Vega. I don't think he's a LI but he does flirt back here and there. He might be though, I might have just been locked out because of Garrus. Worth a try.
