Better way to phrase, Sublyminal:

By not making Ending DLC, Bioware/EA will lose a tenth of a billion dollars.

Huh, post that Forbes review in a new thread if you haven't already, that's - we're getting a lot of press on this matter. That's a good thing.

What this will end up causing is diminished sales of the game, which will yield scarce to no dev support whatsoever.. So all these people complaining about wanting a better ending from bioware, and then turning around and giving their product a 1/5 doesn't really make sense to me. I'm not saying the game deserves a perfect rating or that the ending was good (which IMO it was not), but giving purposefully bad reviews based on 5 minutes of a 30 hour game makes you no better than the metacritic troll reviews.... just my 2 cents...

Here's some math.

Ten dollar Ending DLC multiplied by (just using North American numbers) 3.5 million users.  Sorry, but the hurt Bioware is going to take from the review bomb is NOTHING compared to the loss they would take by not making the Ending DLC.

yes but in theory, if less people buy the game, and more people return the game due to dissatisfaction, and this includes people that never buy DLC to begin with, then that number will be even lower and their profit will not be worth the trouble of making more content... Though the concerns over the ending does deserve answers, I don't think the game in its entirety deserves that low of a score... I understand that they are trying to get their message across, but there are other means to do so...

In the end....I have to say I've lost my trust in Bioware. DA2 damaged it, and this was the finishing blow. Atleast I still have Bethesda and Valve to hang on to...

Valve I understand... but Bethesda? They ruined it for me when they did FO3. Even with the new ending add on.

On the other hand- while it's doubtful that Bioware will actually change the endings or make an ending DLC for Mass Effect 3, if this has caused a major issue then Bioware should be more careful with how they treat things in the future, preventing Mass Effect 4 (Or whatever comes next) from suffering the same fate. If anything it might make them try to make the next the next ME game have fantastic endings, to make up for it.

Wow. This is actually starting to work, isn't it? I mean, I love 95% of the game, and it deserves more than 2.5, but we're getting heard, I think.

What's working? Ensuring Bioware will never get the funding to start a new project again? You guys are being so stupid and counter productive....

^ This.

This is not the way to go about it, its bad for BioWare who are a fantastic company. And ME series has been so good and ME3 is amazing besides last 10mins. Its hardly fair

And i hate the god damn ending but lets not be stupid here

The ending depressed me and these rating bombs depress me. This is a strange situation indeed.

If you think for one minute that EA will stop funding their cash cow, you're mistaken.

Listen I'm not thrilled with the way the game ended and I am in support of DLC to give alternate endings, but this is too much. In my opinion this game, even with it's flaws, is the best in the trilogy. I wrote my review on there to help. Review bombing isn't the way to go about this, writing Bioware and starting petitions is the right way.

I didn't like the original ending of FO3 either, but I liked Broken Steel and most of the other DLC, so they redeemed themselves with that. FO:NV was also very good in my opinion.

If Bioware actually pulled a Bethesda and made a new ending like everyone's saying, I'd trust them again.

Anyone who wants ending DLC is missing the point. I don't want an apology. This is what they thought of their series. Slapping some nuh uh paint on it will accomplish absolutely nothing. It's obvious there's a wide difference between what I know I wanted and what they think everyone wanted. I hope the gimmick ending was worth it.

Do I think "bombing" is right? Nope. Do I think that Bioware isn't making the situation any better by keeping their mouths shut? Yep.

You didn't give us closure with the ending, Bioware, now you won't give us closure on whether or not you'll take our money and give us more choice for the ending. Please respond.

They can't respond because the game hasn't released everywhere globally and it's the best damage control they have.  If they make a premature statement, it could end up kicking them in the arse.  I think they're trying to play this as best as possible, which makes absolute sense... unlike the ending.

Question, Sally Bullseye. This one does not understand.

If Geth demand Ending DLC, receive DLC, and become forever fans of Bioware, while giving them butt tons of money, is this not good?

Has Geth misunderstood Creator?

....one moment, I'm told the cherry-flavored Space Magic wants to have word with this one. *boom*

I still hold trust in BW, it's wavering but I still trust them. I didn't play DA2 so that's probably why.
