What is truly unfortunate is that some of the more strident "Line-Holders" here think this is some kind of victory. It really isn't, folks; in fact, it could backfire in the "Line-Holders'" faces. Think about it: sales are dropping, the game is rating low...why should Bioware put anymore time and money into a game that people are already saying they won't spend money on? This is why a boycott is just as foolhardy an idea. Yeah, it sends a message, alright...but not the one you want them to receive.
It may be done anyway as a "goodwill" to get them to invest in the company's future games anyway or to ensure the ME franchise is still valuable.

forget the number of stars. numbers are pointless. READ the reviews. most of the explain exactly WHAT made people rate the game so low. and while a lot of it IS the ending, far from all of it is. from day one DLC, to multitude of bugs, importing issues, gameplay issues (heck, I had to reload couple of times, becasue I couldn't interact with a quest giver), pacing, disappearing and/or jumbled voice work, etc. the game is NOT perfect. and while all of the above could be forgiven, the endings? they just became the straw that broke the camel's back.

Ah well, I suppose "the bigger they are, the harder they fall" still applies. Just don't fall too hard - I'd like to see a return to form someday if at all possible.

If you think the game deserves a 2/10 even using the most hyper-conservative criteria you are simply flat out wrong.

Ahhhh, I am very pleased. People, this is the only way to get their attention. Politely asking will get us nowhere. If we hit them in their weakest point (Their wallets) then they will maybe speak up. BioWare screwed alot of fans. They made promises that they didn't keep. And now, it is hurting them.

This souring of the consumer/company relationship was discussed in at least a couple of the Forbes articles. And the fact that the final spark that is the endings to the whole conflagration has such a logical case behind it only amplifies it.
But yeah if there is TOO much of a backlash, Bioware could easily just decide this really is a "Torch the Franchise and Run" moment...I hope not I want my ending that actually reflects the epic 120 or however many hours I got so far from them.

Geez, even though i hate the ending, the game still deserves a higher score than that! C'mon guys, this is going too far..
No, it's really not.

I mean it's not a 10% drop or anything like that, but 3.5% of a 5.5 billion dollar company is a lot. We'll see what happen. The Stocks could rally, EA has lots of games.PKchu wrote...
Oh. I see. So it's bad and the investors didn't get the upward trend they were expecting.laststarfighter wrote...
Yes, an almost 1% drop in a day is pretty significant but what is more significant is the tread for EA, they opend high last week because of the massive sales of ME3, this week with all the negative press (investers and shareholders don't read IGN) by Forbes and such, EA stock has been steadily trending down. They have lost 3.5% in 5 days. Yea that's significant.
Well, ultimately I want EA to bounce back and give us an ending, so I hope this just means they get us that ending to stop the bleeding.

You ignore your fans, outright ignore them and slander on their face....and you expect everything to be alright ?
The %95 of the game do not deserve the treatment but the last %5 mess the series up SO BAD that it actually makes it look like justifiable.
Did I wanted for one of my favories series bombed like this ? Never in my dreams I would think like that but these event forced many people's hand.
After taking so many crap for years ( like recent SOPA / PIPA events that put people on edge , DA2 contrevorsy , DLC issues and so on ) people actually decide to do something about it and they actually have a legit reason this time.
No matter how hard they try to slander the dissatisfied customers as whiners.. this won't stop these reactions and won't cover up their failure. We know it , they know it and I wonder what they think about how they will survive this ordeal without much damage.
They already lost many loyal fans from their future purchases and DLCs ( which basicly keeps many trends going nowadays sadly. )

Wow. This is actually starting to work, isn't it? I mean, I love 95% of the game, and it deserves more than 2.5, but we're getting heard, I think.
What's working? Ensuring Bioware will never get the funding to start a new project again? You guys are being so stupid and counter productive....
Companies that do not addapt to their market fail. It's not counter productive at all if we put our money into things that make us happy instead of what we should for some reason feel beholden too.
Note: Bioware hasn't even said a thing to us. They sit and watch as the sky falls with no word other then glib statements. I know it's hard at first but people will at some point understand the idea of the starving "artist" exists for a reason. In this case they have chosen to starve moral stands are great but as the people paying ours seems to be more viable.

Actually, for me, after all those game articles and the re-tweets by BioWare devs calling us "Whiny" and "Entitled", I just kinda want to hurt their wallets now. Like Forbes, in so many words, said: Don't ****** off your fans.

You see - this is what I don't understand. One can agree with the review or not - but
a) people say vote with your wallet, but apparently - they shouldn't vote with their wallet if it hurts the company? Paradox?
c) people have made logical arguments only to be sarcastically put down by representatives of the company and some mainstream advertise driven media.
Had Bioware engaged in a constructive dialogue - as they used to once - people's reaction would have been vastly different. The communication aspect only works if it works both ways. It hasn't worked both ways.
It's time to be logical - you can't have your cake and eat it too. This is buisness. I've been a Bioware supporter for years, but even I am tired of how they lied to us and how they made a nonsense ending to a game trilogy that I really enjoyed.
