I've never had a gaming experience leave me bitter, angry and frustrated 72 hours later, why the hell shouldn't I give it the lowest possible rating. I don't need anyone telling me what criteria I should use to judge something. The ending killed the franchise for me, i'm disgusted with Bioware and I wouldn't recommend the game to anyone.

ME3 won't fail. However, the finale' to a trilogy is going to be the main point of focus for fans of the series. Their reviews will reflect that. They aren't paid by a company that makes money getting ad dollars from game companies. Fans and customers are just going to post their own subjective review based on how they feel. The way the Mass Effect trilogy is going to make you feel will largely be determined by how the ending was handled.

If someone feels utterly depressed and horrible after the the end of their favorite video game rpg campaign what do you think they are going to score the game based on?

I am sorry to see this in a way, mostly because I think there are probably a lot of good people at Bioware that do want the same thing as us, a better ending and game overall.

BUT....the day one DLC; the very annoying silence, knowingly releasing controversial ending, no regard to the fanbase at all, insulting tweets. They can't really blame anyone else this time, MORE COMMUNICATION is needed. A lot of this could be avoided with honesty.

Seriously: if the game makes you feel like garbage, why does it not deserve a garbage rating?

EA's stock is going down down down...

I dislike the endings, but i really dont take any satisfaction in them loosing money. I love bioware as a developer and aknowledge that even they can get it wrong, but that doesnt mean i want them flushed down the drain. I just hope they will take action sooner rather than later

I agree. I want the rumored Baldur's Gate III to hit the shelves.

However, it has been reported that the Prothy DLC was in the game all along and can be enabled by fliping some code. Something they say was not the case. That says two things: Marketing is doing a horrible job and is being deceptive with consumers; and PR is just dropping the ball left and right. None of which builds consumer confidence. First DA II, then ME3. It will be a really long time before I pre-order from Bioware again at this rate.

Some people are of the opinion that Bioware has been indoctrinated by EA. Image IPB

This game was great unitl the last 10 min!
The series was awesome and if the writers wanted that ending, then so be it.
Just fix the bugs, server issues and give some cool DLC!

The dropped the ball on the ending and the they dropped the ball on SWTOR.

What is going on at bioware?

Slight OT, what is the problem with SWTOR?

My friend has been trying to drag me into it.

Fixed for you.

Correction. Bioware told the story it wanted to tell. You didn't like it. So now you are whining about it and actively campaigning to hurt Bioware in an effort to get them to change the story to something more appealing to you. I wonder if the people in Michelangelo's time attempted to get him to chop the penis off the statue of David to make it more palatable.

As I recall, a fig leaf was added later on.

If you want to protect a game company from backlash over shoddy business decisions YOU are your own enemy

One third-party seller selling their one copy of the game for $45 does not a 'price drop' make.

I even paid $85 for the CE.

Oh well, DLC plus the bonus crap, and I enjoyed it. I do recall a third to half of it being trade ins so I'm not displeased.

I only payed about 1500php [roughly 35USD] for the standard edition, I also get a free N7 Shirt.and my pre-order bonuses. Piracy is somewhat a business in my country so I don't know why it's been like that.

I echo this, but I lack all sympathy.
It took more than one person at Bioware to say "okay" to the way the ending turned out.

Durring the time they were working on From Ashes, they could have spent that time working on good endings.

About the review I give this game a 1/5 Any game that can make you NEVER want to play it again and make you sick and upset or just super pissed off is deserving a 1/5.

I Have told everyone I know, DON'T buy it, DON'T play it, UNLESS they fix what I am calling a Glitch in the game.

You gave me the finger Bioware, I gave it right back!

I stopped by my Game Stop where I bought the game and asked if people were returning it like the anecdotal reports here are, and they said no. They also hadn't finished the game yet, and started talking about how awesome Silent Hill was. So at least at my Game Stop the controversy hadn't reached there yet.

Just letting you know...

Some would quickly point the fingers at the people who started the Takeback movement, but seriously, you know who's to blame for keeping quiet for so long, thinking that the ending haters were a minority. I didn't bomb the reviews, but apparently some feel strongly enough to do it, and in numbers too. Bioware should start taking action and giving straight statements on how they are going to fix the endings.

Keeping silent longer is just going to get them more negative press.

I find it sad but it's also Bioware's fault for making the ending to the series crap.
