Wow. This is actually starting to work, isn't it? I mean, I love 95% of the game, and it deserves more than 2.5, but we're getting heard, I think.

If you guys get your way through these means it could mean that future games will suffer and you'll never see anything like that 95% of good content again, just because you were disappointed in the 5%. Selfish.

Yes, I agree.

You guys aren't just voicing your dislike. That'd be fine. You're adopting a militant stance and making demands.

If you read the posts that KeldorKatarn and atghunter posted in(PR thread_.....the only way to be heard by a company that conducts a PR campaign to attack complaints is to hit them where they care......Profits!!!

That being said I've told everyone that Mass Effect 3 is a great game EXCEPT the ending as a lot of posters have done, I would assume that not ratings are affecting prices...but maybe not.

Yes this is a campaign as Bioware is refusing to comment and having their PR team conduct a PR tactical campaign to ignore and invaildate their complainers.

If, on the off chance this really was a scheme cooked up by Bioware to get attention before releasing the real ending... It didn't go so well.

It's $35 on Amazon right now, and Walmart (around here at least) is selling it for $29.00.

On the contrary, this could help games, gamers, and developers in the long run. When the producer says the game has to be on shelves in 4 months, and the developer says they need an extra month to finish it, I think the producer all too often says "no." Now, the developer can say "Remember Mass Effect 3?" and the producer is more likely to say "so, yeah... another month seems doable."

Although I dont think its deserves 1/5 stars I see this as exactly the same with movies.  Loads get bad reviews just because of the ending, in fact some would say its the most important part.

This isn't new to Mass Effect fans. Almost any product that upsets people, they mass spam the scores on Metacritic and Amazon.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if a large amount of these poor scores are related to the DLC. A lot of gamers have a vhement hate for EA. Look at battlefield (and how scores were spammed with that one).

This is what we don't want to happen. Bioware made a great game with a crappy ending. If the ending is fixed than Bioware can recover from this mess. Retake Mass Effect people, and save Bioware!

This was to be expected. It means we're winning. Succeeding in putting pressure on Bioware.

Because you know what, right now, the price reflects the value of the game without an ending, ended correctly, the price will go back.

We can't abandon the line just because it's uncomfortable to watch the results. Putting the fire to their feet is what needs to be done.

That said, Bioware, we know that this price isn't fair to the work you've put into the game, but you must understand that the price is reflective of how the customers feel. This is your time to act.

The PC version of the collectors edition on amazon had 67 reviews mine was one of them. There were a couple reviews complaining about the day 1 DLC and the Origin install issue but nearly everyone of them said the game was great until it killed the replayability in the last 5 minutes. The ending was so godawful horrible that it destroyed what was one of the best games ever made. The reviews were mostly clear on this point.

I have to say, right now I am embarrassed to call myself a Mass Effect fan. Such a fantastic franchise, being treated like garbage, and a great company stabbed in the back by those they try to entertain. I can understand wanting a longer ending, or more choices, but this is WRONG.

Agreed. If this crazy movement actually succeeds and Bioware ends up making ending DLC or something, then it'll only prove that whining can force a developper to change something in their own game.

The Mass Effect team created this ending because they wanted to end it this way. Mass Effect is their creation, so they can do whatever the hell they want with it whether you enjoy it or not. I hope Bioware sticks to their guns and does nothing with the ending, and if you don't like it, then go play another developper's games...and in time, I'm sure you'll be ****ing and complaining about that other developper as well.

You are a 100% correct. It is their creation and they can do whatever they want with it. But, if they want to continue to have a large loyal fan base then they will bend to the consumers wishes because we are the ones who buy the games. A car company can make any type of car they want. If too few people like it then they have to change.

The idea of fans controlling game development sort of scares me though. I think it's fine when fans provide feedback on things like inventory management or cover systems, but to actually push a writer towards creating an ending that he himself (or she herself) didn't intend on seems drastic.
I don't think that Bioware is gonna continue on with as large of a fanbase. If they were to "bend to consumers", then they would still have upset fans because what one person wants could be what another person hates.

*sigh* You are, among others, a poor consumer.

I'm an engineering student (poor) and I buy things (consumer), so yes I am a poor consumer.

Down to $40 from $59.99 on Amazon Canada.

An interesting tidbit I've noticed - not sure if it's just a coincidence or not, but the xbox players seem to be much more forgiving if the reviews are anything to go by. The PS3 people are somewhere in the middle, and the PC reviews are almost entirely bad.

Ok wait, people are saying this is wrong somehow? The ending ruined the game for me. I can't bear the idea of replaying it. If I were to rate the game, I'd put it low. Really low. The ending, at least, ruins the entire plot and every choice up to it. I'd probably put it at somewhere between a 3-5 out of 10. That is the score I feel it deserves. So are you saying I'm not entitled to my opinion?

Score bombing implies we don't think the game deserves that score. Personally, I not only wish I handy bought the game, I wish I hadn't played it period. Even if I had bought it, if I knew it'd end like this, I'd have never played it. It ruined the game and if I could have that time back I'd take it. It deserves that score to me, because the game isn't worth playing to me.

We aren't bombing, the ending ruined the game to the point it deserves such a low score in our opinion. The gameplay might be amazing, but I can't overlook the ending to enjoy the game. That is how bad it is effecting us.

That's because the game is being reviewed and rated by the same little brats whining on these forums. 2.5/10 is a fallacy..

What the heck?! I should have waited a week and a half more to pick this up. This just makes me even more upset :-(

I will say though that the game is NOT a bad game at all; in fact, it was quite fun, although I did have a number of issues with it.

Nice argument. Why don't you give us the benefit of your infinte wisdom and explain why other people's opinions are apparently completely invalidated by your own?

For some people, the ending ruined the game. Heck, for some of us, it ruined the entire series. If that doesn't deserve a low score, then nothing does. I respect that some people don't see it that way and have no problems with the game at all. That's fine, but please don't try to insinuate that my thoughts on it are somehow dishonest or dispicable simply because we're on opposite sides of the argument.
