Doesn't matter for BW-- these are all used copies.

EA's RPG department would benefit more from a significantly discounted new copy of ME3 than a used copy any day.

We are all entitled to our own opinion...aside from the endings this game has its flaws.

I guess people realized that their own imaginations are free.

The Mass Effect series, in my opinion, has always had just "OK" gameplay with the story taking front and center stage. If ME3 doesn't have a proper ending to Shepard's story and instead just generates "LOTS OF SPECULATION FROM EVERYONE!", why should anyone pay for the privilege of imagining their own ending?

The price drop from $59.99 to $40 I posted above is actually the Amazon.ca price, not from the resellers.

I'm showing prices of $30-$35 for new copies online, shipping included, dependent on platform (google shopping search results). That works out to cutting the price in half less than two weeks after launch.

Early days yet (what I'd give to see EA's internal sales metrics!), but this very definitely looks like a career-ending screwup.

Most people bought this game for the story and the endings make it weak.

I think some members in this movement have gone too far. You can't give this game horrible reviews and berate it, because then we'll all look like a bunch of hating trolls. Which, I think, the RetakeME3 movement isn't. If you truly have loved the past games and felt that the ending of the third wasn't justified, that's no reason to disrespectfully attack the game. The game was great, until the ending. After all, its not just the result of the game that matters, how you get there matters too.

The game's selling point was its story. They ruined the story. It doesn't deserve anything above a 5 IMO. These scores are deserved.

That's crap. you should all feel terrible.

Why should we feel terrible? I am one of the few that payed $80 goddamn dollars for this game. The endings alone made me wish I had waited and paid only $40 for it. Stop trying to make people feel bad because BW made a bad decision to go with the Deus Ex endings.

So your first thought was to **** on everything Bioware did? They put their heart and soul into this game, you may not have liked the endings but the game does not deserve this.  You people are acting like such children.

Yes. Yes it does deserve this. I, like so many others, put MY heart and soul into this for five years building six Shepards and they **** on everything I did. So...yeah.

Yes! I completely agree!

I was just on a thread where the posters mentioned that both sides feel(pro-ending/changed ending)
like they are being attacked.
iamzer0xx is a good example of name calling, I don't understand why we can't simply agree to disagree.

In a story driven game it is possible for the end of the story to completely ruin the game for you. If it did ruin the game for you and you gave it a low score ... nothing wrong.. If the ending did not ruin the game for you and you still gave it a low score then ... you did wrong.

QFT right here. Most of the game is amazing. The endings ruin it.

I haven't bothered to review-bomb the game, because I don't review anything I buy anyway, but if they didn't want any of this to happen, they shouldn't have put out such an "unforgettable" ending and try to blow it off as no big deal and just ignore the response with "we're listening". The core thing my professor would tell students in an introduction to game design course is that "The player is your friend" and he runs an independant game company where bad pr means no more business...

I may not be a fan of the endings, but it makes me sad that amazon has dropped the price so much because of the backlash :(

On one hand I agree in a way that the market shoudl determine the price of goods. If people are unsatisfied they have the right to voice their complaints.

On the other hand, a lot of love and care went into this game. Developers did work their asses off for this I'm sure they lost a lot of sleep over the time period especially when it came close to release. The game was well done for the first 99%. I dunno. It just makes me sad that this could affect a lot of people who may have had nothing to do with the endings themselves.

I'll gladly throw in my five star review and get rid of my one star IF they fix the ending. Otherwise I didn't get the "epic conclusion that will answer all questions" I was promised. Instead I got "LOTS OF SPECULATION!!11ONEONE!1"
