"Tell me another story about the Shepard."

"Well, ok, just one more..."

I'm paraphrasing, but the conversation between the child and the old man goes something like that.  What do you think it all means?  Is that BioWare hinting that there's an Epilogue DLC coming?  Or just giving us a little extra twist to Shepard's wonderfully bittersweet ending?

I can't find a direct quote, but I believe a member of BioWare Clan stated that the trilogy would end Shepard's story.  I believe that is on the Offical Record Of Officially Recorded Official Things.  So picture this:  We get an expansion pack, or a big ass DLC...  that only it features the companions as the main character.  Each chapter of the DLC deals with a different squadmate finding their place in the world that follows, maybe having a flashback to a scene we never saw with Shepard.  Some off-camera moment that meant nothing to Shepard, but was some how poignant for the companion.

We know it's no big thing to travel between suns in the Mass Effect universe...  Hell, we do it dozens of times in each cluster while doing side missions.  So all the relays being destroyed means is that the equivalent of intercontinental air travel is no longer possible.  Instead of hours to cross an ocean, it's going to take you a week.

So the fleet breaks up, carrying the companions to their home systems to begin the process of moving on with not only their lives, but the lives of their peoples.  All of those endings would be shaped by your Shepard's choices during the Mass Effect games.  Not only would we get an epilogue, but it would be a playable epilogue.  Never mind a text crawl, never mind a clip montage... these would essentially be one last verbal of physical firefight with each companion designed to highlight what Shepard meant to that person and to their species.

I'm probably clinging to hope shot through with a bucketful of crazy.  Ultimately, I'm more than ok with the post-credits scene being an a final sweet twist.  But if it's more...  I wouldn't complain.  Maybe that was the point.

Time will tell.  :):):)
