I am also wondering about this. I thought the Bioware Social Network and Origin accounts were integrating, and that my Origin ID would replace the one shown in the forums here? When this didn't happen I did try to make a new BSN account using my gaming email address, but of course it told me I couldn't as I already have an account using that email: this one=Origin one! As it seems that the email address is the unique identifier, i'm confused as to why the display name hasn't changed. I've been trying to simplify my numerous gaming identities, but this BSN name is hard to update.

I'm probably missing something really obvious, but would be grateful for any help!

Is it possible to register fresh and bind the new account to the existing origin id?

I would like to change my forum ID, and I'm tempted to try creating a new one and then connecting my Origin ID to it, but I doubt it'll work.

Any chance of a response from the admins about this? I know EA didn't use to change forum/account names but they changed the system so users could do so.

I, too, would like to change my name.
If I were to go to my account settings, and then delete my account, would that delete my EA/Bioware/Origin account, or just my BSN account? If it's the latter, then I would imagine that I could register a new social account, then link that to my existing Origin account.
This problem shouldn't be a problem.

I had this same problem, so I contacted EA and had them manually switch my origin ID to my xbox gamertag to see if that would do it, but my profile over here still shows my old name despite the EA profile saying my origin ID and xbox gamertag are the same name (though seperate). Still unable to post in the Mass Effect 3 board. Hoping maybe it will be a 'takes 24 hrs to take effect' thing.


Edit: Nevermind, it seems all I needed to do was go to a registration page and click register my game here: http://social.biowar...es_register.php
Really? The site could already tell I've had the game, but I had to click on an extra button? Oh well.
