Okay so my female pc is romancing leliana and i'm stuck at adore(86). We've done the kiss and she sang some song. But i have yet to hear (or be able to ask) about her personal quest. Giving gifts and just talking doesn't do anything. Did i screw up somewhere?
Is it too late?

You have to take her out in party until you get a random encounter. If she's talked about Marjolaine.

It may be too late. I've messed up romance with Leliana twice by romancing her too fast and having dialogue options just off on me.

I finally succeeded in romancing her, even when I rushed the approval with her. I gave her few gifts, done Warden's keep before heading to Brecillian Forest ( My first location after Lothering, if keep doesn't count). I completed that area and gave her the flower, before heading to camp and she had lots of things to say. I wonder how I succeeded, maybe you need to get her high enough before Lothering falls or something?

Well i don't have the warden's keep DLC. But i have done redcliffe up until waking arl eamon and i did the main plot quest in Brecillian Forest. I've also given her the flower. She has been in my party since i first recruited her. I gave her a few other random gifts that i collected along the way. I kinda figured that it may be due to the fact that i haven't been to orz or mage tower yet.

I hade same problem as you. There is a bug if you raise approval with her to fast it skip past a dialog that triggers the quest.
The way to fix it is:
1: Break up with her while you are in camp, try do it as easy you can so you dont lose to much approval. ( save game first and reload if you want to try out diffirent ways to do this)
2: Now talk with her again , tell her you want to ask her a question. the question you seek is, her talking about minstrels being spies. (im sorry i dont recall the excat phrase)
3: Now leave camp and return , she will tell you that she lied about being a spy or something close. Be nice to her and finish dialog
4: Leave camp again and walk to any location you want (i normal pick Denerim), on the way to your location a random encounter will trigger where you get ambushed. Before you get to kill the archer on the hill Leliana will stop you , spare the mercenary and get him to tell where the person who want Leliana dead is. And now you have her quest
If you cant make it work the way i just wrote, feel free to give me a personal mesage on these boards and i try help you futher

I did what you said and now i'm just friendly(91) with her. Can't get any kind of dialog that point to restarting the romance. But maybe i need to go quest some more and the try again later. Or maybe something will happen when her approval hits 100.Rathengar wrote...

Okay 91 friendly might still be too high. The bug is if you raise her approval too high without having asked her the question when it was aviable . It disapears as a choise sadly.
The question “I head that in Orlais, minstrels often are spies.” is the very trigger to getting her quest.

I know this might not help you at this point, but this is how i have gotten quest myself in my other playthrou's personally after i knew it was bugged.
1: Raise her approval to 23 or so, tell Leliana you want to ask her a question. Ask/anser her following:
“What would someone like you doing in Lothering’s Chantry?”
“You know, a beautiful charming woman like yourself.”
"What about your fruit ? Is it forbidden ?
"What did you do before that ?"
2: Doing that question unlock following question , so talk to her again right away and do this:
“I head that in Orlais, minstrels often are spies.”
"I don't remember"
"What's the diffirence ?"
"Patron ? What sort of patron ?"
"You were a bard, weren't you ?"
"So that's where you learned to fight like that"
3: Leave camp (travel to a new location) then go to camp again right away. and Leliana will say "I lied to you, you know? About why i left Orlais" keep talking with her using following reply:
"Why ?"
"Hunted ? What for ?
"How did she betray you ?"
"You opened them, didt'n you ?"
"Isn't that what bards do ?"
"What do you mean ?"
"What happened then ?"
"How did you get out ?"
"And so you came to Feralden, to Lothering"
"Thank you for trusting me with this"
4: Now leave camp again , walk towards Denerim if youwant to solve her quest right away or pick another spot. Make sure to have Leliana in your party when leaving now ! A random encounter will trigger you see.
Kill all the badguys here as you please , and kill the npc called "Assassin Leader" last if you want exp/loot from all the others npc's . When you allmost have the "Assassin Leader" dead he will surrender and a dialog will start choose following anser to get your quest:
"What ? Why not ?"
"Who is trying to kill Leliana ?"
"Your life for infomation then"
"Yes, Go. Be grateful for your life"
"Why now?"
"What do you wish to do ?"
"We'll go as soon as possible"
And you now have her quest

You need to lower her appoval to get the question adviable. Dont raise it too 100 hehe.

I already answered the question about bards being spies and did her quest.Her approval was 74 and i did everything you mentioned a couple posts back and thats how i got to friendly (91).

So you want to make her talk futher about what happened then ?
I didtn have that option either, so i dropped her relationship and got the option. I dont know why you dont get it. i beleave i was 81 approval last time i did get her to talk futher.
You should get the option when she's not in love with you automatic. I dont know how to help you futher sorry.
Maybe you need to progress abit futher in the game , keep going to camp and check when you leave a new area after doing something noticeable, best advise i have . But i guess you allready tried that.
