I've romanced kaidan with both male and fem shep and i agree that his romance is the best in the game!

Garrus romance has a very good pace across the 3 games. To me thats the best overall. And I guess Liara for my maleshep.
The VS romance feels like youre working so hard to recapture the moment. And then boom youre dead. You never get to bask in it like you get for Garrus an Liara.

Well, I've only been through Ash's romance, and it was very satisfying.
I haven't spoiled myself on the others, which I plan to get through in the future.

Well, objectively, I guess Liara's was the best but we all knew that would be the case
I personally loved Kaidan's the best. Great dialogue, great voice acting and it had real depth but you know, I'm a bit biased

I hate how Bioware played favorites, but it's obvious Liara was going to win that. Hell, she even got ME 1 treatment with her romance scene.
Most rewarding to me is Garrus. Even just as my first Femshep's friend, he's nothing but loyal. I romanced him with my second Femshep, and I wish I could meet a "Garrus" in real life.

Well I was extremely satisfied with Kaidan's. Only waited three games to romance him with m!Shep. Normally that sort of expectation leads to inevitable disappointment. In this case, though, I found myself wholly invested.

Only tried the Liara one, and it was really well written. If only the game ended with Shepard listening to Liara's "joke" and getting lost together in a far away star.

I've only finished Kaidan's. Loved it but that's easy since he's such a sweetie to begin with. He's also my fav so I'm biased to say his will be the best, lol. Off to do Garrus'. Liara's looks like it will be really good as well.

My canon relationship is Kaidan but I think that both LIwise and friendshipwise Garrus is the best of the bunch. I've listened to his lines and they're all so amazing. Makes me a tad jealous since the first part of the game you don't have Kaidan and/or he's doing that "RAGE Y U WORK W/ CERBERUS SHEPARD Y U NO CALL WHEN U DED?" (if you can't tell I was slightly annoyed with this from Kaidan).
Then again I know the pain of the ME2 ships so I will happily cling to the USS ALENKO

Miranda Lawson. Liara a close second.

Liara and Garrus. Liara suffers a little for dev favoritism, but it's not the character's fault and I love her to bits. Garrus because he's with you the longest as a squaddie (you get him early in ME1, 2, and 3) and he's seriously the best video game boyfriend ever. He loves and supports Shep 100%, without hesitation or reservation. No jealousy, suspicion, dead wife issues, becoming-a-crazy-terrorist issues, or any of the usual LI bull, just unconditional loyalty and warmth. It's a nice change.

Gaddamnit, Thane. I don't care. I'm clinging to this.
....Ok, maybe Garrus. No one else gets a damn dipsmooch.

I've only finished one romance, which was Talis. Watching youtube clips, seems Garrus and Talis romances are both extremely well fleshed out.
So far half way through a second playthrough with an Ash romance, and just disappointed by how few conversions seem to be affected, and how long it takes to reestablish the relationship despite being faithful through ME2. Sheperd seems to get on bended knee every time Ash points a gun at him, for just a smile from her later. Maybe it gets better later...
Liara seems to become very close to sheperd regardless of a relationship, but I will be holding out on youtubing it. I want to see it for myself.

Kaidan's romance was everything I wanted and more. And I'm biased, but I can't see myself loving any other relationship more.
I have to say, friendship wise though, Liara has it. I went into ME3 being sort of ambivalent about her character, but god. Her dialogue was great.

Ashley's, though I haven't done any others

Virmire Survivor (or Ashley, specifically, because I don't like Kaidan much)
It comes full circle. Other romances don't hit a lot of rough patches, or deal with trust issues. Ashley and Shep clearly have feelings for each other, but Horizon and the fact that Cerberus rebuilt Shep keep getting in the way (remember we're dealing with an indoctrinated Illusive Man and Cerberus super soldiers who have Husk-style implants). Shep being indoctrinated can be seen as a legitimate concern...
It's a slow, emotional process to work through that stuff and Ash ends up trusting Shep again. And in London, we finally get to hear the three words she didn't say before Ilos in ME1.

Jack had amazing potential, a shame she wasn't brought back as a regular for ME3.
Liara's romance was excellent in ME3, though.

The only romance I've ever done is Kaidan's, and I don't think I'll ever romance anyone else. His romance was dang near perfection, the only thing I would've liked differently would be more conversations and a change of dialogue in situations that shows the relationship. But I think that could be said about any of the romances.

Was extremely happy with Kaidan's romance. Words can't express how beautiful it was. I'm going through the series again with the intent of romancing no one in ME1 (even ended up killing off Kaidan :0) and Garrus in ME2. I've heard many good things so it's something that I'm definitely looking forward to.

Definitely would pick Kaidan, everything meshed well and didn't feel too rushed with bringing him and femshep back together. I am curious to see how a romance would be with Liara, but I really like her as the best friend/confidante.

Thane, Garrus, and Kaidan - all for slightly different reasons. I haven't gotten very far with my character that romanced Liara yet, although I'm sure it will be fine. And Jack, just because while she doesn't play a big part in ME3, she actually grew because of her relationship with Shepard - which was awesome.
