I watched Garrus' romance on Youtube and thought it was very cute. Almost makes me wish I didn't delete the Shepard I romanced him on.

Of the ones that I've experienced so far, I'd say that Tali's and Garrus' are the most developed. Didn't think that it was possible to make these characters any more endearing than they already were.

The only one I've done across all three is Ash. I did Tali in ME2, and right now, on my newest Shep, as of ME1, Liara.

Plan is to finish Liara all the way through ME3, then do Tali as my "last" Shepard until I take a break from the ME 'verse.

Garrus, hands down, that slow progression from friendship into trusting adorkable romance, into utterly sweet breath-taking unconditional love. I'll get back to you when I finish Liara. I think these two might have ruined me.

Definitely wasn't Ashely. Most useless romance option ever.

still too sad to replay and pick a different LI, thinking about Liara if I ever get around for a second play-through. She always seems so sincere when talking to everyone. Then theres Ashely, passed out drunk on the floor and talks to you for maybe 5 minutes out of the 40 hours I put into the game.

sigh ashely, siiiiiiigh

I started my Garrus romance and somehow Kaidan hijacked it. So have to start over. :(

Maybe not. I thought the same b/c Garrus disappeared while Shep had all these heart-to-hearts with Kaidan in which she was unable to say: "Actually, I'm with Garrus." After she bought Kaidan his sandwich and finally got to tell him she wanted to keep it professional, Garrus suddenly reappeared. He was letting her make up her mind on her own. Such a gentleman, that Garrus.

"So... are you ready to be a one-Turian woman?" :P Oh, hell yes!

So chalk me up for Garrus, obviously. I want Shep and Garrus to get to adopt little Krogan, dammit! They did such a good job bringing up Junior -- I mean, Grunt.
"You'll never be alone" *still* makes me want to cry. :crying:

Garrus has completely ruined me.  I feel so bad for the TOR LIs; I stopped playing for a week or so to finish ME3, and now I'm looking at the TOR guys thinking, "But you're not GARRUS!"  He even took the crown from Atton Rand, my very first pixelated love.

Oh god THIS. I keep trying to load up to finish up my JK and my SI Inquisitor for Steve Blum's bedroom voice, but Garrus just keeps drawing me back, I will never be able to quit him now, and I don't ever want too. ME3 did NOT skimp on the character interaction for me.

Did the Liara romance, thought it was wonderful. Amazing. Will have to do the others in subsequent PTs.

Yeah, my poor BH and my best friend's IA are just sitting there going, "So when do we get to make smooches with our guys?"  And instead of playing TOR, she's trying to romance Vega and I'm going all the way back to ME1 to relive the full glory that is the Garrusmance.

I have a problem.

IF YOU HAVEN'T ROMANCED TALI ZORAH AND WISH TO REMAIN SPOILER FREE, PLEASE DO NOT READ MY POST.

Tali's romance has been my favorite thus far because it shows a real intimate exchange between the two. Much like Garrus' romance, we must remember that Tali's start in the story is merely as an inexperienced youngling out on Pilgramage. Through the events of the first ME, we see how Shepard and Tali become more than allies and begin a friendship. Moving into the events of ME2, Tali is now a strong and determined Quarian who begins to find herself attracted to Shepard. This friendship that began with mutual exchange of favors becomes an intimate friendship as Shepard defends Tali during her trial. Her mentioning "captain" under her breath as they leave the Raaya proves that Tali has grown to trust Shepard deeply. This trust between the two culminates in Tali removing her mask--exposing her to illness--which is a sign of deep intimacy amongst her people. Finally, we arrive at ME3 where their relationship has matured to point of some playful flirting as well as supportive behavior towards one another. I personally loved the part where Tali and Shepard are on Rannoch and she begins to tell him of the house she wants to build on her homeworld and what the phrase "Keelah Sa Lei" means.

I think Garrus' is the best overall. Spanning three games going from friends to lovers to "bondmates" is a great evolution of the romance. Garrus also has several non romance conversations in which there is romance dialog. A great example is the dialog he has at the turian refugee camp the ending to this dialog is completely different from when you don't romance him. From what I've seen of the Liara friendship, I bet her romance is spectacular. And I have to admit myself disappointed with the Kaidan romance. Not much is different between when you romanced him and when you didn't except a two or three lines and the romance scene/goodbye scene and even that I found a little lackluster (compared to Garrus' post sex convo and goodbye scene). It also irritated me that he kept bringing up the Cerberus thing. Which is disappointing because I really liked Kaidan as an LI.

Of course I may be biased because Garrus and Liara are two of my favorite characters. Image IPB

The Thane and Jacob options are jokes. Personally my in game LI was Garrus. I'm going through a second playthrough just to listen to that pre battle conversation.

Liara is the obvious bias. She gets the most (proper) dialogue, cutscenes and romance talks.

I agree. Even while being a Ashmancer I think that Liara or Garrus get the cake.

I haven't done them yet but if their romances are as good as their friendship/bromance I think they are the "best" ones.

I've played through Kaidan's and Garru's, from ME1 to ME3 (watched the rest), and found Garrus's the most satisfying. Some of the others felt forced or one sided or more of a hero-worshiping thing to a few. The new characters to ME2 (Jack, Miranda, Jacob, Thane) got seriously shafted with attempting to continue a romance in ME3.

Very new but I think Cortez's romance is really rewarding. Beautiful writing.

Liara is the best, Garrus is a close second for femShep, better than Kaidan imo. Of the non-squad romances Mirandas is the best one
