Here are a few tips and ways I use the site. Use them if you want and/or if you think it will make your life easier.
1. Left Sidebar: What's New ---> Friends is your friend I use this first and foremost. My mental theory is that if my friends are interested enough to post/blog/create a group, etc., then I am interested too. Right at the top (beneath recent activity) is also another tab if you want to brave knowing what is new with Everyone)
2. In the Forums, At the top: Jump to (Forum Home, Your Posts, Subscribed Topics, Recent Posts): These should be self explanatory, but honestly, I totally missed those until very recently. I always expected to somehow see "Subscribed Topics" in my "Feed" but until that works, just jumped to your subscriptions this way!
3. Left Sidebar: My Content ---> Projects: This will bring up a list of your projects, and on the right side, a list of your "Subscribed Projects". I like to quickly read down the list and look at the Updated Date. Anything new will have todays date (or another close date). You know where to look then.
4. Clicking on my Profile Picture reminds me what I have been up to, and lets me see if anyone has made a cheeky remark about the same.
5. Profile: Tabs across the top ---> Forums: This shows all the threads you have started, and, you can see from there if there are any updates to those threads.
6. Moderator/Bioware Posts? I know it's not perfect, but if you click on the Forums (at the top), then look at this list of Moderators, you will be able to click on a name and view their profile. IN their profile view, you can actually see a list of recent activity, and that will also show you the Mod/Bioware posts. Is it perfect? No. But it's a workaround for those that want to use it!
