Impossible to romance Morrigan.

I'm playing a Dwarf Noble warrior, and balancing between a good character and a saint, which literally makes me hate Morrigan, as she disapproves ANY desicions that I make. The only time she approves me is when I either give her gifts or talk to her at the party camp.
So basically, you can only romance Morrigan if your character is a complete utter @sshole?
P.S. Morrigan is an amazing mage =) Still hate her though, haa

Make a new char with his exact looks when its connected to the internet (If on 360), save the game, then check your profile.
The romance options unlock when approval is pretty high.

A bit gamey, but it cerainly also helps not taking Morrigan with you when being nice to people (which is mostly at the start of new areas. You can always get her back into your team when you head out into the dangerous places).

Ok... First of all, and this isnt a slight against you immortal_scream but you are RPing a Warrior, whom is acting the role of a Paladin ethic (Lawful good/Sainthood). Here you wish to catch the interest of a woman whom is at best Lawful Evil maybe even Chaotic Neutral... something right off the bat should tell you that your wish is flawed, ie big red flag. You are speaking about how she disagreed with everything you do except idle/cordial chatter in camp... and you are not seeing that maybe she is for all intensive purposes, out of your league? Not only alignment-wise, but potentially sexually? =o Plus... you are giving her gifts, feeding her self-loving and buying her affections... just sayin. =3
Always good to see for every 5 action/loot fest players theres an actual rpger:)

Not at all. My character was a human mage, and Sten was the only one not to like him so much. And Morrigan just loved him.

Here's how you romance her without being an @sshole:
1) Bring her only on quests that don't involve helping the helpless. Main quests are pretty much all OK. But some sidequests are bad news. ... particularly those that don't pay at all.
2) If offered a reward, take it.
3) Give her the gifts she likes... there are guides online that'll tell you what she likes. Suffice to say, she's into bling
4) Respect her independence. Don't go telling her that you like how mages should be holed up in a tower, for instance. She's a free spritit.
5) Lastly, do her sidequest. Tons of relationship pts to be had if you do it.

Make decisions that she likes, give her gifts she likes, it's easy.

I'm pretty sure that this game is called a Role Playing Game, where you can do w/e you like. Which I'm doing.
And opposites attract,eh?

No, just because the game is called an 'RPG' doesnt give you a license to stray from the RPG 'confines' and do whatever you want, it doesnt work like that. If it did, you would basically have an empty world with no consequences for your actions leaving it a depthless and superficial environment.
Alignments, a characters personal preferences, racials, station and other things play important facets in the 'how far you can get' factor with NPC's. Wouldnt be much of an Role Playing Game if one could just have sex with whomever or whatever they wanted and just run amok in the confines of the game environment. Such a diversion from RPG reality would most likely end up giving one a characteristically devoid prostitute-type character with no depth and a repeatable dialogue that spits out not only mundane, but repetitive speech allowing them to get off your jollies on a whim.
RPG's are meant to be a mirror, or at least good ones are meant to mimic the real world in a time where things were... simpler. The technicals and other such advancements didnt exist and the ideology of magic and fantastic beings and abilities are possible. Simply saying 'its an RPG, I can do whatever I want here' is not only a short-sighted statement, but one that shows you know nothing of the reasonings for an RPG to have the existance of character depth at all.

and i had 4 followers who all were almost completely in love with me before i did my first treaty quest.
(morrigan being one of them) but this was a female character, so i wasnt romancing her, still several opportunities arise to raise your approval with different characters. and simply by talking to her and making the right choices in camp, you can get a huuuge chunk of approval.
and if that isnt enough for you, think ahead, if your planning on going somewhere and saving someone, or helping someone out, drop her off right before you save them/finish the quest.
morrigan is probably the easiest character to get to love you
sten is probably the most fun to get to love you XD
