Ok... First of all, and this isnt a slight against you immortal_scream but you are RPing a Warrior, whom is acting the role of a Paladin ethic (Lawful good/Sainthood). Here you wish to catch the interest of a woman whom is at best Lawful Evil maybe even Chaotic Neutral... something right off the bat should tell you that your wish is flawed, ie big red flag. You are speaking about how she disagreed with everything you do except idle/cordial chatter in camp... and you are not seeing that maybe she is for all intensive purposes, out of your league? Not only alignment-wise, but potentially sexually? =o Plus... you are giving her gifts, feeding her self-loving and buying her affections... just sayin. =3

I don't think D&D's silly alignment system fits Dragon Age much. Besides, most Grey Warden are hardly good.

Oh, and I think Morrigan would be in the lines of True Neutral and Neutral Evil, if you have to name it.

I agree with the other posters, Morrigan is very easy, especially compared to Liliana, although probably not as easy as Zeveran. She slept with me the first time I was in party camp essentially, although she didn't fall in love with me until now (just before Landsmeet)

Give her pretty much all the jewelry you can find (except for the religious stuff, which is for Liliana). When you talk to her in camp, agree with her point of view. Don't antagonize her, but also don't show her sympathy. It's really easy to tell what she wants in dialog.

Now, if you take her around with you, she will get pissed when you take on more quests. Redcliffe is particularly bad when it comes to this (-15 altogether IIRC). I didn't notice her caring much what happened in the Bracillian Forest or Denerim. I didn't use her in the Tower (Wynne, duh), or Orzammar, so I can't say there. But she gets more gifts than any other NPC, so it's easy to make up.

Nah. Not true.

I did the complete good way and I believe I may have gotten like -5ish total there.

I started my new playthrough with the intention to romance Morrigan. Upon meeting her I spoke to her and answered the way i thought she would like. In lothering i did the same.

I threatened the priest for stens key which gave morrigan approval. I killed bandits which i think also gave approval. Just from the conversations I could kiss her. One gold necklace (you can have 2 at this time) and was sleeping with her the first time we went to camp. Decided to give her a bunch of +1 gifts without saving it, and i got her ring.

So overall I'd say she was extremely easy. But if your trying to be a "good" character, then you will do a lot of things to lower her affection.

Okay, one quick question...

You can't FORCE her to be nice? She's going to be a **** either way? Well that sucks, I was trying to make her turn out nice.

YOU CAN KISS MO AT LOTHERING????
I'm so bad at this game :( :(

Heh, if you go to camp on the way to Lothering, you can chat her up and get her in the sack before you even get to the town... I think last time I had a character pursue her, I had her over 60 approval the first night away from Flemeth's hut. I guess she's been pretty lonely out there with just her crazy mother for company for however long. XD

she never turns out 'nice', except to your character, she is who she is, but if she cares a completly different person can be glimpsed thru the armour she has against the world.

Of course you can't FORCE her... friendship and romance are not about forcing, even in video games.

I've been playing the game for good 20 hours and enjoy every single minute of it.

I'm playing a Dwarf Noble warrior, and balancing between a good character and a saint, which literally makes me hate Morrigan, as she disapproves ANY desicions that I make. The only time she approves me is when I either give her gifts or talk to her at the party camp.

So basically, you can only romance Morrigan if your character is a complete utter @sshole?

P.S. Morrigan is an amazing mage =) Still hate her though, haa

the thought of a dwarf and morrigan together is... lol...

Lol,my first char was a dwarf noble, warrior named thorgar and when me and morrigan "did the dirty dance" i swear it felt uncomfortable, like she was seducing a 14 year old child on steroids.Image IPB
Sorry but that was unbelievably funny.
The point is though Morrigan seems to be against even things that would be a tremendous help to the Grey Wardens. For instance when you decide to help Bann Teagan you get a -5 dissapproval from Morrigan and helping Redcliffe and Arl Emon is absolutely key to your success in this game. What I do, after my first playthrough and I realizes you loose 10 points on Morrigan -5 in Lothering and -5 in Redcliffe all you do is go to camp before going to redcliff and you can get her a +10 with the golden rope necklace gift that the merchant at your camp has for sale. That way by the time you finish redcliffe Morrigan is basically neautral and a few gifts gets her back to the "romancing" if thats what you want.

ANYBODY know how to trigger Morrigans "Tis a curious thing. I don't know how to describe it." line?

What influence number, what quest completed? Note if you do the Mage Tower quest it will JUMP to the second part of her "interest" script and set off Flemeths quest via the "I have a thought." line.

If any one knows how to trigger that first sequence I'd appreciate hearing from you. I've tried with no success to trigger that first script. Thank you.

The "friendship" speech was for my characters after completing the quest associated with Flemeth, at 90+ approval rating. If you're romantically involved with her, I'm sure you get a bit different speech, but I assume the requirements are about the same.
