So reading through the forums, tweets, and seeing the endings for myself after beating the game twice in false hopes of redemption, I came to realize we have overlooked the point. Bioware has stated that they have no plans for DLC yet, but I think thats because they don't have ideas for it. Shepard, in my mind, met a poetic and mysterious end, and even though our choice was was which way to walk, our choices did matter. It was about the culmination, the end of a saga, an epic, a legend. I read an article here that really explains the ending well. I believe in fact, Bioware wasn't kicking us in balls with this, though it seems, rather instead, they wanted to invoke our thoughts of Shepard's story, Shepard's end, OUR story, OUR end. The pain, the laughter, the agony, the experiences that brought us to being so upset that we didnt get a ****ing happily ever after, brought us all together, brought us to theorize the ending. They want us to think, to unite, to break free of the walls of the game, to struggle to fight this horror, and to change the face of gaming ourselves.

Bioware is a genius, a storyteller, a stargazer perhaps. We are a player, a decider, a shepard. "Tell me another story about the Shepard", another story of us the player, the experiencer. This is their deception, their indoctrination. Our foolishness in believing they would do this to us. Years we spent with them, so why this?

The answer: They wouldn't

You see, to get to the point, we, the Shepards, are creating Mass Effect right now. Not Bioware, they are the Reapers, the setters of our motions. Anytime they respond to thoughts on the ending they say they love our feedback and take it into account. But that's not all, we have given them countless possibilities for DLC, for Mass Effect, for our stories. Do you see all the ideas we throw at them? They are going to use them, why?

Because they CARE about US and would NEVER ****** on what we've built

My comrades, friends, fellow Alliance, fellow Turians, Krogan, Asari, Salarians;

                                                                     WE ARE MASS EFFECT.

It is not a "game", it is the story of our triumphs, failures, friendships, rivalries, and most of all our choices. Can you see now? Looking past the blunt ending of martyring ourselves, friends escaping, and cutscenes being deus ex machina-esque, we see the truth behind the ideals.

So I say, my utmost apologies Bioware, you have escalated us to a new gaming medium and delivered unto us a story of such emotion no one else could have given. You are struggling with hatred and cruel words from "fans" right now, and I, am sorry. Only you could have done what you have done, because someone else..... might've gotten it wrong :D

#SorryBioware get it trending, now, or else Wrex will feed you to Mama Thresher Maw

No thanks, I'll wait for them to apologize for the ham-fisted attempt at closure in the trilogy's end.

I will admit I feel somewhat sorry for Bioware but when I consider the extra lengths I went for them as a consumer in order to show support over the years, the feeling goes away.

Must be somewhere around $800.

I disagree. I think we could be a lot worse. I am sorry but most people are being civil about this. there is no need to apologize, and no one should apologize until maybe bioware fixes this problem.

Being intentionally vague about things doesn't make them deep or poetic. Especially when you spent over a year promising closure, answers, and satisfaction, but deliver none of it.

I appreciate the optimism, but no. I'll believe it when I see it.

Also, fake ending or not it has made us upset, it has devastated us who were waiting 5 years for a conclusion based on our characters and our choices.
We, like the characters in Mass Effect, put our faith in Commander Shepard. Our Shepards, whether they be FemShep, ManShep, Sheploo or Ugly Shepard.
Our hopes and dreams went into them, and they were crushed.

But in all that, we have been perfectly civil and come together as a community. We have nothing to apologise for.

I'm not sure if you're on your meds or if you're off your meds, but you might want to check on that.

There is no truth to the ideals. The entire ending actually abandons the concept that there is any ideal at all. And no, I'm not Mass Effect. This is not some absurd avant garde performance art with the world. That is simply insane.

First they accept the ending is not "THE EPIC!" ME series deserved then we'll embrace them... Most people are just trying to give them ideas instead of insulting BW anyway...

Go ahead for that "it's all just a lie at the 7th book of Harry Potter's paragraph" as you feel like, but I'm not gonna give in just because someone feel so smart for figuring out something that make sense to them.

It's a bad writing then it's a bad writing. Just the clarification already fails, which you can see clearly how many people rage for this.

Hate to say it but on the position of just the endings, I would say not really apologetic for them.

This.

There was nothing deep about the ending. It was a rambling mess of scenes that did not match the tone of the series and just created more questions than answers. Which is not how you end a story like Mass Effect.

This.

I'm not sorry at all.

They completely ruined the franchise in 15 minutes.

I can never look at the previous 2 games the same way anymore.

It just wouldn't be the same.
