No - I will not apologize...

Especially not after those endings... the logic behind can be disproved by a two year old. No I will not let them ruin a what was and still is a great game up until that point.

So as a consumer I'm not allowed express disappointment about a product I have paid money for?

What are you even saying?

How bout we do that when they apologize for the depression players are going through? I can't easily forgive them for that.

If people are depressed over the ending of a video game they need to go see a professional.

You worked for over 60 hours on a project.

Then, it failed miserably due to nothing in your hands. Case in point, you were lied to, even!

People give the "just a video game" argument too much credit. Hey, man, I build canoes in my off time, too, and if I worked on one for five days and then somebody came in and smashed it to bits I'd be a depressed person.

There's no reason to apologize for criticizing the game. There are legitimate reasons for concern. I am sorry if anyone on the BioWare team has been individually insulted/threatened. Fans are just honestly concerned because they LOVE the series. Mass Effect as an IP deserved better.

So... we should apologize to Bioware for nullifying all the choices we've made through the first two games because they were trying to be "poetic"? The whole point of the trilogy was that choices would matter. Our choices didn't matter. I knew something was up when they released the last novel that was full of inconsistencies that ignored established canon. I'm not going to let some Jedi Force ghost kid shoot different colored lights out of the Citadel and take it sitting down. We as paying fans of the ME games have a right to complain, respectfully, when we believe we've been wronged. I feel wronged. I'm incredibly disappointed and angry that all that anticipation and joy was destroyed in less than five minutes with the horrendous choices in endings. Hold the line.

As far as I'm concerned, Mass Effect isn't just some video game. It's a very real experience. Bioware made us truly care about the characters and the back-stories that they had. We are looking at everything through our own eyes, and we channel our own thoughts and feeling through Shepard. It's not some mindless FPS or a sports game. It's about as real as a video game gets.

Nope, I want a proper ending, that has both the paragon and renegade aspects, not some confusing BS about how the choice of the Illusive Man is so called to be "Paragon", while your mentor and friend Anderson's choice is considered "Renegade". This is complete BS. I believe in the Dream/Indoctrination theory.

^Exactly, we stop "respectfully voicing our opinons" (<--BULL SHIIT) and maybe they can stop stressing over how to plaease everyone and get something done for you guys to have your closure since none of you seem to get the ending. All you see is "So I spent 5 years, my money, and time to just die?" i get the anger at the red, blue, or green beam? endings, I myself didn't know about them until a few days ago. But like I said, it is about the end of our story, I guess I'm sorry you guys wanted some text dialogue afterwards or a hollywood ending, but try and look at the end from a different standpoint. Seriously, look at all the POSSIBILITIES for DLC and continuing the series! If you actually read my post, you'd see my thoughts, WE are giving them the universe, in the end, we are CREATING Mass Effect. WE ARE MASS EFFECT. I remember going to the mall and getting ME1 on day 1, I didnt put it down, likewise ME2, and again for ME3, then I come here and see that people think because they didnt get the ending they wanted they are going to spam Bioware with "change the ending!"  That's the beauty of the ending and future DLC, did Shep live? Was it a hallucination/indoctrination? Am I really dead? I choose that that is the real ending, the ending of every story, sacrifice and death. My Shepard saved the entire galaxy after uniting them, and in doing so martyre-ed himself. Do you not think there were aspects of ME3 I didn't like? My love Miranda almost died TWICE, I didnt get to talk to her for more then 20 minutes tops, and yeah she's fake, but I was attached. I watched my favorite salarian Mordin die saving a race I didn't even bother screwing five years ago. I shot bottles on top of the Presidium with Garrus promising to meet him up in Heaven's bar, only to see him walk out of a space ship stranded in unfamiliar territory, never able to see his family or home again. But, in doing so, we saved a galaxy, and met our end, then saw a clip of the human race telling stories of a shepard, a legend, of ME. I say, give Bioware a break, game making is hard work, and let them make great content for us again. Because I bet the "change the ending it was terrible!"-s and the "I'm never buying one of your products again!"-s is really making them want to keep making games and content and fix you ****ING ENDINGS THAT YOU SEEM TO DESIRE SO VIGOROUSLY!!! So take a ****ING CHILL PILL and stopp with this hold the line bull.

I've been a fan since Baldur's Gate (Showing my age a bit..). They destroyed my faith in the company with that ending. I know I sound like a lunatic when I say that I can't express how much the ME universe meant to me, but frankly I don't give a damn.

They need to either fix this or lose a customer for life, and I know for a fact I do not stand alone.

HOLD THE LINE!

We don't want a different ending for ourselves. We want a different ending because the Mass Effect trilogy we've spent 5 years devoted to quite simply deserves better than it got. I see your point, but I don't agree with it. Nor do many others it seems. Your point has been made, typing in caps lock won't make it anymore persuasive. I respect you for taking a stand like this but honestly, the vast majority of us have absolutely nothing to apologise for. We're well within our rights to offer our opinion on a product we've PAID good money for.

Wut?

I failed to read the whole OP because it lost my interest.

However I will respond to the OP title. No, not apologizing for having the opinion that Bioware truly screwed the pooch on this. I don't care that the series was ending, that happens and I like conclusion, but if I as a writer had shoved out abortion endings like these and had gotten this strong of a reaction from the fanbase, I sure as hell would work to fix it.
