I do not see a reason to apologize. They should just deal with the situation. We have a point here, the number of copies sold for this game are incredible, which shows the faith of the customers in the company. Do not tell me Bioware did not know in advance, that this kind of ending could cause massive disappointment. It is simply hard to believe that you make the game of the decade and ruin it in the last 5 minutes by accident. The ending should not be this way and we want to find out why it is this way and how to fix it...

No thanks, I'll wait for them to apologize for the ham-fisted attempt at closure in the trilogy's end.

Bioware doesn't have to apologize for ending their series the way they wanted to. And they won't.

I want to know why i spent all the hours running around the galaxy uniting the races for a battle to save not only earth but the whole galaxy, and all i get to choose is what color the beam is. I mean come on! I know that most of this game was about the journey, I cried when mordin died for the good of the Krogen, I was thrilled when i got a second chance with ashly, but what is the point of getting the help of all the races if no matter what you do is die anyways. it does not matter if earth is saved, destroyed, or just really beat up, because you never see it. while you might get a extra notice from joker that the geth fleet is ready if you saved them what good is it if you never get to see any outcomes to your choice? Oh you get to "save" anderson? and you might get an extra color option? well I am sorry but this is not what i had expected.

How about the appologize for all the broken promises that they gave us in order to convince us to buy the game in the first place?

Most of us have done nothing worth apologizing for. All we're doing is speculating. And we're doing it with civility. I personally think they're using this as a "you'll just have to wait till ME4 to have all your questions answered!" type of deal to make us get excited and want to buy their next game.

Apologise for what? Discussing our extreme (and imo completely justified) displeasure with the endings? In the vast majority of cases it's not being done impolitely either - people are more depressed and sarcastic than they are raging.

Prefer to hold the line, thanks.

I don't have anything to apologize for, and I won't. I'm a consumer who has spent MONEY on a property that didn't deliver in the end. What harm is there in asking for five to fifteen minutes in revised content? I'm only asking for proper closure. Holding the line.

Amazing. While Shepard undergoing an indoctrination process is a possibility, I never knew players, as demonstrated by the OP, could too.

I won't apologise, those last fifteen minutes ruined some of my favourite games, and I can't see myself picking up a controller at all in the foreseeable future. I will hold the line.

Apologize? For what?! They ruined the whole Mass Effect experience for me. Zero Replayability. Your actions doesn't matter at all! NO.

Bioware is a genius, a storyteller, a stargazer perhaps. We are a player, a decider, a shepard. "Tell me another story about the Shepard", another story of us the player, the experiencer. This is their deception, their indoctrination. Our foolishness in believing they would do this to us. Years we spent with them, so why this?

The answer: They wouldn't

The writers at Bioware are just people and as people are prone to making mistakes.

If ME3's ending was intentional as a part of some masterstroke they are planning then Bioware needs to come out and say something to that effect.  And then they themselves need to appologize for all this unrest they've caused.

But they haven't said any such thing.  Instead they're remaining silent which only leaves us to conclude it was a genuine mistake.

ME3 was amazing up until the ending and I have complete faith that Bioware can fix their mistake if they so choose to.

Hold the line!

Really? This community can often be pretty ridiculous, but not this time. Have you seen the polls? Have you read the Forbes article? Are you paying attention?

The disappointment felt at these endings is virtually universal. Bioware has made a dire error, and fans will not be easy to placate. They've undermined, in a 5 minute acid trip ending, a 5 year masterpiece. When I (and apparently thousands of others) can't bring myself to play the franchise that was my all-time favorite just a week ago, that's a problem.

What have I for which to apologize? The writers miscalculated. They should apologize to us, their customers, for failing to deliver the experience we desired, and should try to fix the situation. I'm skeptical as to if that can and will be done, but they should try.
