@Vigilance_Pep It's beautiful! I'll upload it to the site as soon as I decide where to put it. I'll probably make a complete build uploading guide for the site (essentially what i've posted here in the forum) and include the image there for easy reference.

@EVERYONE The site looks about 1,0000x better. I changed the theme to something a little less green :pinched: Also created a background from one of the Mass Effect wallpapers available on the site.

I would still love a user-made background if anyone is up to the task. 17 builds total now I believe and I'm about to get to uploading everything posted here that I haven't gotten to yet. Thanks for all your hard work!

@Lucien Midnight site is looking good! One suggestion though, the dark blue text is somewhat hard to read a lighter shade of blue may be better ( not major, the current look is great ).

Very nicely done dude, glad you are doing this for the community! :)

I would like to help with a guide, but unfortunately I am bogged down with school at the moment... after this semester I would be glad to help though!

By the way, you can add me on the 360 and we can share some tactics/builds! My Turian Specialist is always up for some "Reaper Run" invites! ^^

@N2narcosis I will update that ASAP! Thank you for the feedback.

@Drummernate I just finished my last final exam today (i'm on the quarter system) so I understand your plight! I will add you on xbox live later tonight. I'm always looking for skilled teammates.

@Everyone Just updated the submission build form in the original post. It's now complete with a method for sharing appearance customization thanks to Vigilance_Pep (Vigilance didn't ask for credit but credit where credit is due, seriously!). I've also explained Tags and included them as a formal section. Eventually I will have an 'official' list of tags to choose from to make sorting through them on the site easier but I probably won't get around to that until the weekend or early next week.

Thanks for your continued support! The site keeps growing... :wizard:

Oops. I have a pretty s***y memory. Sorry!

@Everyone Anyone have cool Engineer builds? It's one of the best classes and I only have one Salarian Engineer on the site so far. Might have more in the que but it won't hurt to have more!

Human Engi

Build Title:
Zapper

Power Evolutions:

Combat Drone: Shields & Damage (4), Shock (5), Chain Lightning (6)
Incinerate: Damage (4), Burning Damage (5), Armor Damage (6)
Overload: Chain Overload (4), Neural Shock (5), Chain Overload (6)
Alliance Training: Damage & Capacity (4), Power Damage (5)
Fitness: to lvl 3

Weapons:
200% recharge to taste.

Strategy:
Use your drone to distract while spamming overload. With the neural shock and chain upgrades it is devastating to clustered enemies. Use incinerate to remove armor for single targets. Using overload whenever targets are clustered together provides both good damage output and slight CC due to the stun.

N00b Rating: (scale is 1-5, 1 means the build is easy for anyone to use. 5 is a drell vanguard melee build… hehe)
1-2

xD Just noticing the build I posted hadn't been put up on the WordPress page yet. The Turian Support Gunner (Soldier). No worries, though, I figure you'll get to it when it's convenient.

Build Title: Fire & Ice - Quarian Engineer

Power Evolutions:
Incinerate - Radius[4] > Recharge Speed[5] > Freeze Combo[6]
Cryo Blast - Radius[4] > Cryo Explosion[5] > Frozen Vulnerability[6]
Sentry Turret - Level 1 or Level 1 - 3 (**)
Quarian Defender - Damage & Capacity[4] > Power Damage[5] > SMGs[6] or Weapon Damage[6](*)(**)
Fitness - Durability[4] > Shield Recharge[5] > Durability[6]

(*) The last perk for Quarian defender is really your choice.
(**) You can also avoid the Quarian Defender Level [6] upgrade all together and go for 1-3 for sentry.

Weapons:
+200% Recharge is recommended.

Strategy:
Your main goal here is to freeze enemies with Cryo Blast and chain a cryo explosion from Incinerate. When it comes to enemies with Shields or Barriers Hit them with incinerate first to burn off their protection and then freeze them. Armored enemies are nothing too hard to handle as you will be doing major damage to them when they are chilled. Remember that you are a Damage Dealer not a Tank. Make sure to use your sentry as a distraction, it is not a major part of this particular build but it can pull some heat off of you.

Just as a warning, remember to play smart. You are not a Krogan Solider or Sentinel and you cannot run into a huge mob of enemies and survive very often.

N00b Rating: 2-3 because all you do is run around Freezing and Burning enemies.

Tags:

Color Scheme: N/A

I've noticed many of the builds use races or options you have to unlock via the packs. I'm going to try to minimize that and focus on more newbie/low-budget :D oriented builds.

EDIT: the forums hate my browser, will fix when I get home!
Build Title: Cloaking Sneaker
Race: Human
class: Infiltrator
Power Evolutions:
Tactical Cloak: Damage > Recharge > Damage
Cryo Blast: Radius > Cryo Explosion > Frozen Vulnerability
Sticky Grenade: None
Alliance Training: Weapon Damage > Headshots > Weapon Damage
Fitness: Durability > Shield Recharge > Durability
Weapons: Raptor sniper rifle is preferred, then Indra sniper, OR any heavy pistol if you don’t have the Raptor/Indra. Why the Raptor? I assume not everyone is a master of headshots from day one.  The advantage of the Raptor is that while you won't 1 shot targets, it is very easy to drop foes with a double or triple tap. The Indra also has a rapid rate of fire with similar results.  Both do not have high-powered scopes which is actually a better choice for the majority of maps where most foes are relatively close.  Alternatively, a decent heavy pistol is a serviceable alternative. Even the one you start with isn’t terrible.  I tried shotguns, but the low fire rate is a killer, literally.

Strategy: Stay at range when you start off and zoom/shoot.  Use Cloak if you start to take fire, run into mobs or as needed to capture objectives. Once your aim picks up, start cloaking before you snipe for the damage bonus.  For added silliness you cloak, walk up to a target and pop them in the head from point-blank, but this can getrisky. Another decent combo is cryo+shoot; just be aware your Cloak will not be available for those seconds after you pop a cryo. The spacebar<hold to run> is your friend. Level 1 point: Fitness.  You are a bit squishy so a little "oops" padding makes a bit of difference. Build priority: After your first missions you will hit level 5. Rank up your cloak up to 3 as a minimum. Spend leftover points between cryo (at least one point, but don't max it yet) and either Fitness if you find yourself always "just" dying or Alliance training for the damage bonus.  Once you've hit level 10 you probably have a better idea where you want this build to go to suit your tastes.  (I maxed Tactical Cloak, then Alliance Training, and also put a point into Grenade just because I like em.  You may want to bump up either Fitness to be less squishy or cryo for the extra control/armor weakening/damage option). My power evolution choices and why:Tactical Cloak4-Damage. Rank 3 is already 10 seconds long.  Even though I capture objectives, I find it too infrequent that I am not attacking for more than 10 seconds at a time. Whereas I want to hit as hard as possible as often as possible.5-Recharge.  You should not be in melee and this drops the recharge to a nice base of ~4.4 seconds.6-Bonus or Sniper Damage-I prefer sniper because I like the headshot bonus...but staying cloaked while firing a cryo has its uses too. Fitness4-Durability-You are a ranged shootist, not a tank.5-Shield Recharge-as above.6-Durability-Makes you less squishy. Alliance Training4-Weapon Damage-to make up for the fact you're not using a railgun like the Widow5-Headshots-by now you're probably pretty good with them.6-Weapon Damage-as above. N00b Rating: 1-2.  Yes are squishy, but no other class has a better "oh crap"/panic button.  And with a weapon with more rapid fire rate than the standard sniper you will find you actually place decently in the kill column.  At least I do, and I am most definitely not a FPS expert. [/quote]TAGS: Human, Infiltrator, Tactical Cloak, Raptor, offense, DPS, safer, sneak.

@DarkKnightCuron I have a queue going on my desktop with about 12 more builds I need to add. I remember your username so you're definitely on there! I hope to get that whole queue *gasp!* done tonight as I have just oficially finished my quarter at school. I will certainly be posting here once i've done that so keep your eye on this thread.

@everyone Website is still going strong. I will continue to update it with builds posted here. Once I have quality builds for every class and character I will start to revise them, standardize them with tags, and then get started on creating some strategy guides. Lookin forward to it!

neural shock everytime

Actually I found I like the Recharge Speed more. Neural Shock just didn't do enough.

Also,
N2narcosis beat me to the exact build I was just about to post, with the one change that I'd prefer Recharge Speed.

I guess you don't like chain stunning entire groups of enemies indefinitely, thats cool. I don't know why you think a few tenths of a second off a cool down is comparable to stunning three enemies at once.

Hey, I finally got the Abilities written down for my "Cloaky Claymore" class. Here:

Abilities:

Tactical Cloak: Damage (4), Recharge Speed (5), Bonus Power (6)
Cryo Blast: Radius (4), Cryo Explosion: (5), Recharge Speed (6)
Sticky Grenades: I have no points in Sticky Grenades, I find them fairly useless for this build.
Alliance Training: Damage & Capacity (4), Power Damage (5), Optional (6)
Fitness: Durability (4), Shield Recharge (5), Fitness Expert (6)

Two General, Run of the Mill Adept Builds, with slightly different usage:

Race: Human Adept Female

Role: Support, Crowd Control, Biotic Boom, Let 'em Fly.

Powers:

Singularity: 4 - Duration, 5- Recharge Speed
Warp: 4- Detonate, 5- Lasting Damage, 6- Recharge Speed
Shockwave: 4-Radius, 5-Reach, 6-Lifting
AT: 4-Damage & Cap.
Fitness: 4-Melee Damage, 5-Shield Recharge

Weapon:
Locust with Heavy Barrel and Clip Extension; Recharge Speed: +194%

Strategy:

Offense:
  • On unshielded enemies (especially crowds): short to medium distance: Singularity + Shockwave: Biotic Boom; + any non-dead enemies will hang helpless in the air for a second or two.
  • On unshielded enemies (especially crowds): long distance: Singularity + Warp: Biotic Boom.
  • On shielded/armored enemies: Warp + Shockwave: Biotic Boom; with weapon fire in between.
  • Going Solo on shielded/armored enemies (Nemesis, Centurion, Marauder):Warp+Heavy Melee+Shockwave: Biotic Boom
  • On Big Enemies (Atlas, Brute, Banshee, Prime, Ravager): Warp+Weapon Fire+Shockwave: Biotic Boom and Stagger from Shockwave
  • To Show Off: Unshielded Enemy: Shockwave+Heavy Melee: Shockwave leaves them hanging in the air, Melee knocks them out of the ballpark (or just kills them with a Melee Upgrade) - but you need to look/aim at them before melee-ing.
The Radius and Reach upgrades for Shockwave make it easier to hit even distant warped or floating targets, the Lasting Damage on Warp gives you more DPS and more time to trigger Biotic Boom. The Locust is basically an assault rifle, just smaller with less weight and does a decent job against everything, preferably at a distance.

Support:
  • Singularity+Shockwave for Crowd Control
  • Shockwave to Stagger the Big Enemies
  • Shockwave to give a second for revives or stop stompers
  • Shockwave to open up guardians
  • Singularity BEHIND a guardian for easy kills
  • Biotic Booms to take down shields, Big Enemies and for the AoE effect
  • Warp against Barriers and Armor
  • Setup or detonate Combos for Teammates
Generally engage from medium to long distance, make smart use of Biotic Booms (that's why the Recharge Speed Upgrades) and support your team. Close Quarters is possible, but not advisable against more than two enemies.

Race: Human Adept Male

Role: Support, Crowd Control, Suppressive Fire, Biotic Boom.

Powers:

Singularity: 4 - Duration, 5- Recharge Speed
Warp: 4- Detonate, 5- Lasting Damage, 6- Recharge Speed
Shockwave: 4-Radius, 5-Reach
AT: 4-Damage & Cap., 5-Power Damage, 6-Weapon Weight
Fitness: 1-3

Weapon:
Geth Pulse Rifle with Stability and Clip Upgrade; Recharge Speed: +130%

Plays like the other Adept, except for no Shockwave floating, slower power recharge and more dependent on weapon usage, but with a power damage boost. Bascially you just need to fire while the Powers recharge. The Geth Pulse Rifle can take down anything from a distance with high accuracy, with Fire Ammo goes through shields and armor quick due to high fire rate and has a huge clip (80 shots with no mods). Melee encounters are not preferred since no melee upgrade, but from a distance can keep the hordes at bay with crowd control and a steady and accurate stream of fire.

I've used both these builds with very good success on Silver.
As an added bonus for people getting annoyed by Vanguard Chargers:
Set up enemies with Singularity or Warp. The Van charges into them it triggers Biotic Boom. Biotic Booms are always credited to the player that sets them up, not the one that triggers them, so if the enemy dies through the Charge, the Van gets nothing, but you do. Not that it matters, but I found it does annoy the hell out of the Vans.

Race: Asari Vanguard

Role: Eye Candy

Appearance:

A16 (Black), A16 (Black), C11 (skin-blue), 3:B16 (grey)

Powers:

Especially appealing when seen from behind.

Finally, as an idea or maybe someone has a Vanguard build like that:

With Shockwave upgraded at 6-Lifting, you can Charge into the floating enemies for a Biotic Boom, which is even nicer if you upgrade Charge with 4-Radius to hit multiple enemies, so even the ones that do not die from the Boom get thrown halfway across the level.

Just read on your site that you'll be doing MP Strategy, too, so maybe you could include some of this topic: http://social.biowar...3/index/9629730

It's a list of Power Combos that I found very helpful.

My thoughts exactly. The build posted above is exactly what I came up with for my Human Engi (first build ever, too!) so I think I'm doing something right. Neural Shock instantly turns Overload into your go-to power for every enemy short of Armor based heavies. Murders shields, makes short work of barriers, splash damages AND stuns organics? Yes, please.

My engi only has about 169% recharge last I checked (using a rank 1 handgun, no luck in packs...) and Overload recharges fast enough. There's no reason to take the other option.

I see that Human Adept and Drell Vanguard are both missing in entirety on the site. Does anyone play these classes?
