I think I'm going to play the hell out of the batarian, though, just because people seem to not like them so much.

I'm pretty sure this is real. The picture would have to be the best photo shop ever and Jarret didn't deny it. Devs ALWAYS deny things that are fake, and then don't give an answer if it's real.

That's what I've seen saying for a while. And while I have no doubt EA/BW would introduce said classes, I won't get my hopes up until they officially announce it, which can be expected probably 1-2 weeks before they start selling the ME action figures.

Geth would be neat, but im in the sex-camp with wanting to see the ability to toggle characters sex rather then having male/female humans as seperate chars of the same class and having access to aliens in the same regard. While krogan female would be unlikely (but still hella cool, come on Bakara would make a fantastic adept.) It would be neat to see female versions of turians or have access to male quarians, female solarians and such as well.

That's what I've seen saying for a while. And while I have no doubt EA/BW would introduce said classes, I won't get my hopes up until they officially announce it, which can be expected probably 1-2 weeks before they start selling the ME action figures.

It's still a speculation? or is really the future DLC exclusive for the 3 kids who will buy the figures ruinning the multiplayer experience for everyone else ?

You know, if they're action figures, I might buy them. I bought Halo Reach and Transformers figures for decoration, and I would welcome Mass Effect items for decorating purposes. Just as long as they're regular action figures and not those $200 PVC figurines. I would hope that the codes would be specific to which figure you get, like the Collector Assault Rifle codes, otherwise it's a waste of money to buy 20 of each figure just to try to get the in-game things you want.

As far as I know, the codes will give random things. Also, the codes are not accesible for Ps3 owners.

There is a possibility about the action figures giving random thing but for spectre packs, then there will be no problem. But if the future multiplayer DLC is tied exclusively to this toys, and they're also random, there will be thousands of posts complaining about how much this sucks. Remember how much people liked the random unlock system, this is 100% even worse. Oh, and if this becomes true, forget about suggesting new classes or races in a future, you will need to purchase action figures first .

Hopefully we will be able to download any new multiplayer DLC from our respectives online marketplace, like normal human beings.

I play on PC, so no worries there.

I honestly don't mind the random unlock system. Keeps me playing the multiplayer. Then again, I don't have to pay out of pocket for packs. If I have to spend real money on something, I should get what I want unlocked. Like how the Dr Pepper unlock codes worked for ME2. Enter the code then choose whichever headgear you wanted. I liked that system. It was a good system. It satisfies everyone's needs, people get the unlocks they want and BioWare gets their money. Everybody wins.

Given the lack of free DLC these days, the new class skins will probably come out along with maps or something, so we'll know I'd say several weeks before it actually comes out.

My question is (based on what I've read so far) it appears that the DLC for the new race/classes are available with the new figures coming out 2nd quarter of 2012. Is this true? If so, is that the only way to obtain them?

Those figures aren't really the kind of action figures a kid would get at Walmart but rather the super detailed ones they sell in comic shops for way to much. I have the first wave (by DC Direct, not the relaunched first wave) and they are sealed in the hard plastic packaging, IE not really meant for kids. 

I don't know where the rumor that the DLC is restricted to these figures came from anyway. The codes don't even work for PS3. Why would they use such a restrictive way to get new characters? Seems awfully silly to me. Sure ME2 had the Dr.Pepper codes, but as far as I know those were only exclusive to the PC/Xbox 360 because ME2 wasn't even out on PS3 yet. I'm sure if it was out for PS3 then it would have also been downloadable for that system as well. 

When you consider the product description on BigBadToyStore-

This product contains a code that can be redeemed for bonus content for Mass Effect 3 multi-player that could include powerful weapons to take on the Reapers. The pack could also include character boosters, weapon modifications, and weapon upgrades to make your multi-player squad stronger. (Content applies to multi-player mode on PC and XBox only.)  

Its obvious these are Spectre packs or something similar to that. Nothing exclusive. 
Once BBTS ships my figures I will let you guys know what the codes are for, but I am positive they aren't for these new characters. Same goes for the codes that come with the Bishoujo Liara and Shepard.

There are some details in it if you look carefully. There are clear things that reveal a photoshop. Until it's confirmed, I say it's PLAUSABLE.
