They match the galaxy at war perfectly, the Free Geth would be fighting the Reaper controlled Geth. No different than Humans fighting Cerberus.
There a a few slots open for new characters in all classes other than Soldier. (Since BF3 takes that slot.)
My proposition is that they add either a Geth Infiltrator, or a Geth Engineer/Soldier to the list.
Their passive abilities would be Overclock, and Upgraded Hardware.
Infiltrator would have Cloak, Energy Drain, and possibly a Decoy.
Engineer could have Geth Turret, Combat Drone, and Shield Drain.
Soldier could have Marksman, Overload, and Defense Matrix.
I have wanted to play as the Geth ever since I first heard Legion speak...
Any claim that they don't fit and should not be added has a counter...
They don't match the lore! Geth are supposed to be the bad guys!
Yes they do match the story. There are 2 different types of Geth, the bad Reaper controlled ones, and the good Geth that are protecting themselves from the Quarians.
You will get them confused with enemies & have a hard time finding them when they go down if you fight the Geth.
If you have sufficent customization options then it will be no harder to find them than any other character, and also they would still have the blue glow around them that all players have, not to mention the giant floating nametags.
They will be to hard to animate, need new models, resizing, and would be impossible to add at this point.
If Bioware puts any effort into adding them, then they will transistion no worse than the Krogan size models. They can even recycle the same model used for enemy Geth but allow you to customize it with colors. Anything can be added at this point. DLC allows for anything other than major game changes and changes to the core mechanics.
We need to fix the story's ending first! Everything else can wait.
Most important is a steady stream of worthwhile DLC that actually adds to the game's replayability after single player has been beaten. Either in Multi-Player maps/characters or Single-Player add-on missions. In this day and age unfortunately single-player is dying out... as much as you don't like it, it is true. I would say that 60% of my friends bought ME3 mainly for multi-player after the demo.
So what do you think? Should we be able to play as Geth in multi-player?
