That would be so confusing when fighting geth. I'd probably spend most of my time shooting at my own geth team member.

Lol. I spend most of my time shooting the ones with names like "SHARKOx4442" floating over their heads as well - Instead of shooting at the ones that say how much HEALTH/SHIELD/ARMOR they have.

Edit: I support this. Always wanted to play Geth.

Do want. Badly. I want to play a Geth Hunter (infiltrator, I'd imagine).

Geth biotics don't make much immediate sense, but I don't have much trouble rationalizing the idea--mass relays, mass effect cores on ships, mass effect generators in guns, etc., all do with technology the same thing biotics do "organically", which is create and manipulate mass effect fields. I have a Sentinel Shep, and I headcanon that she's not biotic, just uses mass effect generators to emulate biotics.

But still, headcanon. I have no particular attachment to the concept of geth biotics. XD But engineer, soldier and infiltrator? Yes, please. Pretty please with sugar and cherries and chocolate on top.

They don't fit everybody's lore, though. I've never even activated Legion. It will be a bit weird for friendly geth to start showing up.

If you start with that argument then Bioware should have removed the ability of Krogan and Salarian / Turian to team up. Them working together doesn't fit everybodies lore either.

As it is, it seems entirely possible to have Krogan and Turian to be at war, and if Wrex, who seems to be exceptional in his desire to work with other species, is any indication how a liberal Krogan reacts to Salarians and Turians, it's highly unlikely to find more than a handfull of Krogan willing to work with Salarians and/or Turians. (I suppose there is a reason we see so few Krogan Mercs with the Eclipse)

Besides... why shouldn't there be Geth characters? I am actually very surprised they weren't included in the final game (and that there doesn't seem to be a male quarian version of the Quarian Professions)

I would imagine the reason there aren't male Quarians is because they already have Tali as a squadmate (so easily accessable animations/models) and also every other race that can be male is male. Right now it's sitting at 2 female and 4 male. Batarian will make it 5.

I actually get super annoyed with my friends playing as Human Soldiers/Vanguard with White and Black colour schemes because they look just like Cerberus characters. I *always* Try to have bright colours which don't clash with another enemy we may be fighting against. I know there is no friendly fire, but still... Glad I'm not the only person to have this problem :|

Also: Male Quarian Soldier would be pretty cool.

Same here with the bright colors. I have this whole color coding thing:

Adept = blue
Soldier = red
Engineer = yellow
Vanguard = purple (blue+red)
Infiltrator = orange (red+yellow)
Sentinel = green (yellow+blue)

I was all for everything you were saying until:

"Just deal with the ending and move on. Just because there were no unicorns and kittens at the end does not mean that it sucked. Most importantly is a steady stream of worthwhile DLC that actually adds to the game's replayability AFTER single player has been beaten."

-_-

If you have no idea why people are pissed then I won't be bothered with actually trying to tell you. Why don't you do some reading instead of making blanket statements that, frankly, make you look like a fool.

Yeah, that made me a bit depressed.

No moreso than those who like to play humans with color schemes similar to Cerberus.

I just feel confused when there is still no Geth MP character in the full game. I hope that's why there is a suspicious vacvant slot at the end of each class.

I'd be all for the inclusion of playable Geth. It makes a lot of sense, and would add further diversity.

As far as I know the Geth already use the Quarian and Salarian slide/sidestep animations. At this point I think it would just be a matter of adding personalization options and simply adding them in.

Well, we played the campaign 2 times now all the way through, and quick saved before the Priority Earth 2 so we could do all the endings, and they were actually all pretty decent. (With 5,300 readiness)

Maybe it doesn't give you closure, but the ride to the ending was damn good.

Along with Batarians I support Geth as playable characters in multiplayer.
