As far as I know, Miranda dies if you don't give her acess to Alliance resources.

When does that happen?

It's the third time you meet her in the Citadel, on the Presidium Commons, probably at Apartments.

No, you can still reject her and she will live IF you warn her about that Asian assassin (sorry forgot name) and if you give her Alliance support.

One thing to keep in mind is that I don't think you always get messages to meet her. I just saw her on the map a couple of times, and she's in unusual places that you wouldn't normally visit (one of the apartments once, and then as a hologram in the spectre place another time).

Current evidence appears to indicate that if you had a romance with her in ME2 and break up with her in the first meeting in ME3, she will die. If you never romanced her but she comes loyal from ME2 she will live if you make the right choices. The warning about Kai Leng comes automatically in the second meeting, but under certain conditions (break up? unloyal from ME2?) she won't ask for that meeting. If you don't get the meeting in the Spectre office, she'll die.

Giving her access to Alliance resources is a factor for her survival, though I don't know if it is necessary or just improves her chances.

Most importantly, you should have high reputation when going to Sanctuary. Reputation is very, very easy to come by in ME3. I maxed out the bar right after the Citadel coup. But don't stop collecting repuation, the bar may not show more than the purported "100%" but reputation gets added nonetheless. And reputation beyond this "100%" is relevant.

Regarding email messages, you will always get them eventually but sometimes Miranda is available for a meeting before you get the mail.

Yes, if you never romanced her she's ok. If you did romance her and break up with her, it is different.

If you cheated or just broke up with her?

Key seems to be Kai Leng warning, game even indicates that.

Shep says "I hope she knew he was coming" or something after watching one of the security tapes on Horizon.

If you dump her in the first meet up it appears she dies, but if you start a romance with someone else before her 3rd dialogue the romance flag will still be dropped and she will live. She wont even comment on you moving on/cheating. Just straight to friend zone.

If she's not loyal to you in ME2 she dies.

I started a romance with Liara (no prior romancing her in the other games). I think you kiss her after the Coup and start the romance, and the Miranda's love scene dialogue(3rd) is after Rannoch I believe. And Miranda treated me as a friend in that dialogue she lived at sanctuary as well. She didn't mention cheating/breaking up/or nothing just straight to friendship dialogue even though in the first conversation I stated we were together still.

So to get the romance death scene, I take it Shep has to just avoid contacting her after the initial conversation with her? Seeing as he auto-mentions Kai Leng in the 2nd conversation?

Gah! This is painfull to watch. Better focus on happy things... Oriana looks very bad compared to her ME2 self, yes? She was one of the best looking ladies of ME2.

I can't get Miranda to live. Must be because I broke up with her in ME3. Im playing with an imported character from ME1 and 2. And in ME2 i completed her loyalty mission and romanced her. In ME3 I broke up with her to continue my romance with Ash. But i did warn her about Kai Leng and I also gave her alliance support when she asked for it. But she still dies. It's not her father that shoots her. She dies from wounds inflicted before I get in to the room. So the onlyu factor i can find is the fact that I broke up with her. Too bad the game has such ****ty endings I can't be bothered to play through it again to find out....

You need also to have her loyal at the end of ME2, she died in my game because I sided with Jack during their confrontation and played a Paragrade character in ME2, so no persuasion was available.

People are saying if you break up with Miranda she dies. I want to continue my relationship with Ashley from ME1 in ME3, but Miranda was my LI in ME2 and I don't want her to die. If I don't break things off with Miranda the first time I see her will that cut Ashley's romance off?

in my first game i accidentaly missed the first talk with her on the citadel and she survived even though  i didnt romance her, didnt reject her either. In my second playthough i rejected her for ashley and she died. just avoid talking to her until after the citadel is attacked and she will live

Guys, I'm pretty sure despite any effort you give to Miranda's missions she will die if you break up with her. It's happened to me twice. This isn't a "you have to romance her" thing, it's a "you have to continue the romance or she dies" thing.

I personally think it's dumb.

I broke up with her and she lived . You have to warn her about kai leng in the specters office after citadel gets attacked she’ll tell you she’ll take processions. And shell survive sanctuary.
