Guys if we do this, are you willing to commit to it 100% for months to come?

I don't even need to hold the line. This is ruined without a fix. I'd never part with my money for anything else... I mean why bother. It all end sucky....

I don't really do DLC. I find it to be overpriced in most cases.

In addition, any DLC they add would have to tie in to the plot of Mass Effect 3. What's the point in a little more beef in the main story if the ending is bonkers? No DLC for me, not unless it is a DLC that fixes the ending.

No money, so can't buy anymore of Bioware products.

Broken leg has me homebound for a month and a half or so, not much else better to do but haunt the forums.

Still have Mass Effect 3 on my desk. Mocking me.

Yah, commitment to this won't be an issue

So the question is, can you commit to this? This will take long time commitment of getting your messages across, and not buying Bioware's products.

I've already cancelled my SWTOR account. They won't care - already got a lot of my money since I am a guy who buys CE's - but it's all I can do.

Oh, that, and an Amazon 1 star review.

I have no desire to pay for a bunch of DLC only to watch my character do that again. And, I buy it on TWO systems.

this.

Also, I'm firm in my committment of never purchasing another EA or Bioware title until this is resolved, and believe me, I am their target market with DLC and CE editions and pre-orders.

Best way I can put it: if Bioware announced a new trilogy of games, would you be willing to invest in that IP? No. After ME3's ending, am I excited about a new game in the franchise after Shepard? No, and I was so invested I bought pretty much everything that had to do with the franchise in tie-ins. Even got one of those incredibly delayed action figures. I feel stupid when I look at it now. That's what I feel when I see anything from the universe - a complete 180 flip in mere minutes. Am I excited in Bioware as a company that makes games I like? No, not really. I'll be more likely to pick up a book instead of Dragon Age 3 or the C&C thing they're working on.

The ending is the kind of reputational stain that will ruin the company's reputation. It's DA2 mangified to a super gut punch level. Ultra bad PR like this will effect the company line, something like this will spread via word of mouth about how unhappy it made people.

I was a big fan of Call of Duty and felt Modern Warfare 2 was a major disappointment and decided I wouldn't purchase any more. I have held to that decision. I have no problem doing the same to Bioware. Even if they do fix the ending, I doubt if I will pay new prices for any of their games.

Assuming that our campaign will get results, do you fully understand it's going to take a while before we do? From what I understand, Bioware probably won't even make an official statement on the endings, until at least the end of March. From there I even doubt that they'll announce plans for new ending DLC. So you'll have to keep the pressure on them for the months to come, and hit them where it hurts by not buying ANY of their products. In fact if we're going to be realisitc about this, if we do end up getting ending DLC, we probably won't see anything for almost a whole year.

So the question is, can you commit to this? This will take long time commitment of getting your messages across, and not buying Bioware's products.

Not buying from Bioware? Whenever something cool happens in one of their games I'd just think of the Mass Effect 3 ending and it would be ruined.

So how do we hold the line exactly? Not buying stuff? That's easy enough. How about inactivity on the EA servers. I think I have that covered too. Looks like I have to go back to that icky Skyrim game... I wonder if they've fixed that yet?

As of March 20TH, I'm moving on from this game after the garbage that Bioware pulled with the endings and as result, I've lost some respect for Bioware in such away, that I have doubts they can ever put out a decent game again, after this travesty of endings in Mass Effect 3.

While I too have issues with the endings, the game, the FULL game, does NOT deserve a rating like that. 99.8% of it was brilliant, the best Bioware game I ever played. The endings aside, the only thing I hated was Thane being sidelined, esp. when romanced.

It's pretty simple: there is no way I'm going to commit to buying another of Bioware's games again. I'm not going to get involved in something that doesn't end as well as it began.

Holding the line.

*Edit*  I will also not be purchasing any DLC or future products from BioWare until this problem is resolved.

Like I have a feeling to play anymore anyway. The ending just literally get me out of game addiction into full depress mode. Not sure which is better, but yah.

Not buying DLC without ending stuff is going to amazingly easy, considering I currently have no desire to play the games again.

Going to laugh so hard when the hallucination thread is right and you all have egg on your collective faces.

So them releasing a flawed, unfinished product, and forcing people to purchase DLC in order to receive what was promised to them at purchase time is perfectly OK to you?

I'll wait for a bit but I'm not giving them a month to respond before I bail and write all of this off. No more EA for me, I'll go get a copy of Skyrim or Witcher 2 or whatever. They have competitors and my dollars can go to them.

It's obvious from all the reaction, all the well-written thought-out responses and such that this is clearly not some minor issue that's going to go away by Space Magic. They have a real problem and they're going to have to respond to it one way or another.

I gave it a one star review, and I don't feel bad. Even though it was only 0.2% of the game, it invalidated and made impotent 100% of what I did in all three games. It's like if you loved a murder mystery and in the end the killer turned out to be a bowl of magic tomato soup or something. A bad ending can taint all of the game prior. I can't look back at all the decisions I was so happy and excited about with the krogan and Rannoch and go, "Oh yeah, all that inspirational stuff people died for...none of it ultimately matters because we're all stranded." It's even worse in ME1, ME2, hearing people talk about hope and beating the Reapers. Nope, sorry - the Reapers were the good guys and talking kid makes you think so!

"So them releasing a flawed, unfinished product, and forcing people to purchase DLC in order to receive what was promised to them at purchase time is perfectly OK to you?"

The fact I would actually be happy and excited if the hallucination theory is true is a sign of how awful the ending was. I literally would be happier with a non-ending.

They're not getting any more of my cash either, neither is EA, until they do something about the endings as well. They were so busy adding multiplayer that a lot of us didnt' want that they slapped together an ending.

I'm putting my life on the line for Shepard's sake. That's how much Shepard means to me.
