Guys if we do this, are you willing to commit to it 100% for months to come?

I'm definitely going to do my part... I tried so hard yesterday to start my second play through (with my renegade Shepard) and I couldn't even get through the Mars mission... I was just too disappointed. To give Shepard a fitting ending, I will hold the line!

If my entire online team buys the MP DLC I may have to break on that, but I think not buying is sending the wrong message at times anyway.

I personally loved every single minute of ME1, ME2, and ME3 until the very ending of ME3. For me to say the series means nothing to me now is ignoring a good portion of the past decade for me. I can't simply turn off the switch and say I hate Bioware and will never buy another of their products.

I am a loyal fan (heck, my gf and I were at one point seriously considering a very subtle bioware theme to our wedding should we get married.)

I have been tweeting to Mike Gamble how I love the series, but did not like the endings, I have even linked him to discussion I think are meaningful here that are otherwise lost in the mess of topics. I have spread the word about the RetakeME3 campaign, and have even started a ME1 playthrough for my youtube channel where I explicitly state I hope we have a better ending for ME3 before I get to it.

Direct action is fine, I am in for the long haul and will keep voicing displeasure with the endings here, Facebook, and on Twitter. However, I can't simply turn my back on a company that provided me with such amazement simply because they made a mis-step in the end. I think the problem was they wanted to provide a good ending and simply lost focus, being so close to the project where you can't really ask an outside source "what do you think of this ending" is going to bring up some issues. Something something not seeing the forest for the trees.

It is not like commiting to this for months is going to take any work on my part.  The endings ruin ME3 to the point I have no desire to actually buy any DLC and play it unless said DLC actually fixes the atrocious endings.  I just simply won't play ME 1 2 or 3 nor will I spend any money on DLC's or expansions until something is changed to make the game enjoyable for me again and actually make me want the new content.

So yeah, Bioware will see no money from me until this is fixed.

More like Bioware won't be getting my money till this mess is fixed. I bought DA2, got burned. Bought ME3, got burned again with the ending. Never again shall I trust Bioware till they fix this.

“You all know the mission, and what is at stake.
I have come to trust each of you with my life -- but I have also heard murmurs of discontent. I share your concerns.
We are trained for espionage; we would be legends, but the records are sealed. Glory in battle is not our way.
Think of our heroes; the Silent Step, who defeated a nation with a single shot. Or the Ever Alert, who kept armies at bay with hidden facts.
These giants do not seem to give us solace here, but they are not all that we are.
Before the network, there was the fleet. Before diplomacy, there were soldiers!
Our influence stopped the rachni, but before that we held the line!
Our influence stopped the krogan, but before that, we held the line!
Our influence will convince Bioware to write a better ending; in the battle today, we will hold the line!” -Captain Kirrahe
Well said, Kirrahe. We will hold the line!

Bioware is going to get it's act together, or lose me as a customer. If it does get it's act together and releases some DLC or a patch giving us a good ending, I'll go back to being a customer of theirs.

Finished the game today, stopping by to say that my avatar = how I looked while watching the ending. I will NOT be purchasing another Bioware product until Mass Effect 3 is given a better ending, one that is satisfying AND does not sour every previous moment of the series with irrelevance and dismissal. In fact, I'm going to extend that to all EA games. If ME3 never gets a real, decent ending that doesn't spring from abstract laziness on the part of developers, then EA will never get another dollar of mine. That simple.

That's how important this whole series is to people. We are willing to stand behind our idea for months to come. And while I don't expect any form of real announcement too soon, the dip in sales will definitely get Bioware's and EA's attention faster than you think. Especially for DLC. Loyal fans are the ones more likely to purchase DLC, and that's us. And the more you hear about all this online.... the more bad press/lost sales hits them.

I truly don't want to see it happen this way, but if it's what we need to do to rectify this awful situation, I am behind it 100%

If they are seriously planning on making a ME4 to continue Shepard's saga (don't see how considering there is barely anything left to work with if shepard was in fact indoctrinated) then they better announce it soon or have a lot of people really angry.

I'm hoping its a DLC, a DLC would make more sense.

I didn't commit five years and almost 300 dollars to a series and a company just to be given 3 "choices" by an god/starchild without an ounce of logic.

If this ending was just a publicity stunt then I will never be able to trust a video game company again!

Heck if this becomes a new thread by companies just selling the 'real ending' later on then I will have to figure out a new career path, because I refuse to be a part of something that tricks and steals from loyal costumers and fans.

Bioware no matter what happens from now on you have seriously hurt your business and trust that has been placed in you by the people that have supported you all through the years.

M2C's... Mass Effect arguably works better with Shepard dieing in the end no matter what. And the "United Galactic Fleet" is only as "stranded" as you want them to be. Ditto the Normandy crew.

That said... the crew getting magically teleported from London to the Normandy is just ridiculous. So much so that I'm not so sure it isn't just a bug in the game. I mean it would have to be right? Right!?! (nobody answer that)

But, for me, the real problem with the ending is that everything the StarKid says is some combination of hypocrisy or nonsense, and Shepard doesn't get the chance to call him out on it. He just takes everything a mass-murdering robot says as Gospel truth despite extensive personal experience that directly contradicts the StarKid's worldview. Very frustrating.

I was ready to play ME3 again with my renegade character and also tackle multiplayer. But after getting hit with that ending... I havent touched ME3 since then. And i wont touch any other Bioware game

At least not until Harbinger assumes direct control of Bioware and makes them correct all this

I will not buy ending DLC until others have played and reviewed it. If it gets an A+ from you guys, I'll know it's worth my money.

But anyways, on topic: yes, I will hold the line...

... and it'll be totally worth it.

 I'm already committed.

Committed to not buying any more Bioware titles unless they fix this one.

Committed to spreading the word that Bioware may very well no longer be the exemplar of awesome games.

I am committed. The longer they delay in responding the more I become anti-Bioware. Ignore us if you will, but I sense here a movement that will only grow stronger. Don't let this blow over. That only means they win, that this ending is acceptable, simply because we fail to oppose it. That's be like giving in to the Reapers, I mean would Shep give in to the Reapers? Hell, no!

Hammer team reporting in. Hold the line.

Committed - no future Bioware titles if this is the way Mass Effect dies. They're on the precipice here, whether they realise it or not, of galvanising their fan base for years to come, or of utterly destroying it and relying on hype and young kids to sell their future titles.

I've already talked 2 friends into not picking up the game until there's a better ending. At this point I'm willing to swear off Bioware forever [even if I miss out on great stuff] simply out of principle:

Artistic vision or not if you don't produce products I want to consume I will not buy them. In addition if you do something to "hurt" me in any way I'm perfectly fine in telling people about that and getting them to vote with their wallets.

I'm in this for the long haul.
