Guys if we do this, are you willing to commit to it 100% for months to come?

Going to laugh so hard when the hallucination thread is right and you all have egg on your collective faces.

Hopefully that's true and we'll breathe a collective sigh of relief (with or without egg on our faces). Still, it would be a very under-handed move on the part of EA and BW.

Am I the only one that finds it humorous that we are using Bioware's own line to "fight" them? It could even be insulting from a certain perspective to shout Hold the Line every time you try and rally support to force Bioware into doing something.

I know I will and it is not impossible. Didn't this community stand against Fox News when they started that mess with ME1 being a s** simulator or something, I remember they apologized as well as that woman who said those slanderous things. Then there is also Deception which everyone got angry at and managed to get BioWare to do something about it. This can be done, we just have to prove that no one is going to keep their mouths shut and just let them screw us like this.

I have no desire to support anything Bioware produces after the ending.
I will hold the line.

As a paying customer, I felt so disheartened by the endings that I simply decided the product diverged too much from what was advertised and wasn't, therefore, worth any further investment aside from new endings (plural, I don't want "one ending to end them all") that provide, at the very least, true closure and a sense of accomplishment.
So, the more sharing this feeling the better, I say.

Just remember, be excellent at all times =)

They might get annoyed with the person who wrote that speech..

"Great going.. you had to have this whole hold the line speech in the first game. you just kept pushing and pushing for it... well look what it got us now. "

"Line Holding I will be" -Yoda (wise enough to know this many people getting mad this early isn't just a small minority of people that will eventually go away, Bioware, this is serious)

Hell Yes.
Was reading what Hudson said Pre Release,

“Because the story is about the final end in total war
against the Reapers, that really is the interest in the game experience.
So, you’ll be able to play after the game ends, obviously, in a number
of different ways.
We have a New Game Plus, so you take that character from the end-game
and restart the game with a powerful character. We also have a premise
for being able to play ongoing adventures from the perspective of the
middle of the game, like we had in Mass Effect 2.”

How they are gonna pull this off i dont know. We need a better more logical ending wether its grim or disney-esc as long as it dont give you space magic b***s**t

not sure if people care or not but my buddy who works at game stop has reported that he totaled up his checklists since Thursday of last week 124 copies of ME3 traded in alone, not counting the "horde" of preorder cancels for N7 Edition.

I will hold the line, I was able to overlook KoToR II but not this. I supported them in every game, ALL the DLC, bought CE's for all of the recent games, even kept my sub in SWTOR despite it's issues and kept giving them the benefit of the doubt but not anymore. I spent years with my Shepard only to get a slap in the face from Bioware? I don't think so, even if it's them trolling us because of the absurdity of insults and harassment of some extremists, some of us were actually loyal but no more.

I'm content to not buy any DLC simply because From Ashes isn't worth the money. Beyond that though, I have no plans to even play again until we get results. I haven't even played ME3 once since I beat it. I can't even bring myself to turn it on.

And so, as Captain (now Major) Kirahhe would say: We will hold the line!

After breaking my heart like this, Bioware isn't getting another dime from me until they admit they done wrong.

Hold, or hold not. There is no try.

It's the last game in the Trilogy of Mass Effect. I would be in a total state of shocked an awe if Bioware and EA didn't propose some idea or means to extend the life of ME3 as long as possible. Stop the pointless preening over the endings and let them do what hey want with the game.

Really there's a thousand more important things that should be getting attention other then the ambiguous endings.

It's Biowares story. If they don't want to give a finite and conclusive ending let them. Only means more content for us in the long run and the potential of more ME3 related things. And no one in this thread is heart broken, depressed or otherwise made mentally unstable from the endings. Get over yourselves.

The Reapers win, Shepard fails, everyone dies.

Glad to see so many committed. Just remember that even if you get tired of coming on the boards to sound off, you can still speak loud with your wallet closed and off limits to anything Bioware. They'll be releasing DLC soon, MP related from the looks of it. We're showing that we mean business, so let's show how committed we are too.

I intend on 'holding the line' with all of you. The Mass Effect series is too important for me to just let it go as is. I know that may sound odd since its a series of video games, but I don't play many of them, so when I do, its because they're something special.
