Did anyone watch Lost all the way through? Or Battlestar Galactica?

Bad feeling this is going to stay the way it is after thinking about it.

I had no problem with BSG's ending actualy......I dont see your point.

Yes, I liked BSG's ending and hated ME3's.

EDIT: Well...S***...now that I put more thought into I dont think I like BSG's story, post Kara's death. F-U, Sir!

"Fans are writing on twitter and facebook! They are raging"
"Are there some positive quotes?"
"Yes!"
"Then only pay attention to those!"

I can pretty much guarantee that a lot of BW employees didn't like the ending either. But you speak up against the people running the show and that's a good way to find yourself looking for another job.

I am sure they are aware. Fans have been sending tweets etc.. If you were a writter, wouldn't you want to know what others thought of your hard work? They know.
What I find strange is the silence. Could be most of them have not returned from a much needed break. My guess is they are thinking carefully about how or if this should be dealt with. They will have to break silence at some point.

See?  It's the vague-ness of it all that they're banking on, I'm sure.

Dragon Age III

Flemeth: Yes, that's right. The races will always use magic to create conflict. So I created Darkspawn to kill them before they make Darkspawn and kill each other. Yes I am the Darkspawn overlord. Now choose the fate of the world.
You can destroy the Darkspawn, but this will also kill all the mages in the world, as well as level every major city, obliterate every road and sink every ship.
You can become the new Darkspawn overlord, but you will die. How you can be the Darkspawn overlord after dying I'm.. not actually sure. But you will. Maybe. Oh and it'll still obliterate every road and sink every ship.
Lastly you can fuse every living being with the Darkspawn, this will insure no more conflict... somehow. But you will die for no particular reason. Yes all the world's infrasctructure is still destroyed, silly.

Well, first they (or EA) call in their markers at video Game websites to do hit pieces (or imply it) on the "angry nerd" fan and entitlement mentality over the next few days since they can't do it themselves.

Then they make a statement saying this or that and hem haw.

Then their multiplayer levels on Xbox and PS3 take a severe nosedive as people go back to better multi-players.

Then they say something vague to the fans...and promise satisfying DLC.

when no one buys Omega in the amounts they imagined...then they make something LOTSB size that "fixes" things, but only in the most tangental ways.....some resolution, but no major change to the ending. I don't think EA would allow it unless Bioware begged for it. And Bioware would never beg to change an ending they are obviously happy with just to placate whatever percentage of the fan base ends up being angry.

So, basically nothing...Monday was like....."well, that didn't go over as well as expected...it's just a vocal minority though."

the end.....

"No, no, get this. One theory suggests that Shepard's alive back on Earth because there's rebar in the rubble. No, seriously. Yes, they found a way to make rebar a significant part of the Mass Effect universe. I know. How do you even respond to that without being insulting?"

Honestly, unless I'm much mistaken, there are three ways to explain the silence: They know something we don't, they enjoy our misery, or they're just shocked at the negativity.

There's also a period where if you can't say what people want to hear, then anything you tell them will be the wrong thing to tell them. I think we're still at that part.

In reality? No clue.

My guess? They just spent a year or two busting their butts to put out a AAA RPG. Many of them are probably on vacation for a couple weeks. Most are probably burnt out and don't even want to think about Mass Effect for a while.

Rebar is pretty amazing stuff.  Up there with eezo, medigel, and mass effect fields.

'Errm, Sir I don't think the customers have taken the endings of Mass Effect 3 all that well'

'Really? What gives you that impression?'

'95% of players asking for a change...that and the angry mob trying to break the front door down'

'Sounds serious, we must deal with the situation with prompt action. We'll use contingency plan Alpha'

*Sticks fingers in ears, sings loudly* 'Money! money! money!, We're in the money! Lalalala! I can't hear any complains! Tralalala!'

Same here BSG's ending was all about the characters just like the show. They ended each characters arc perfectly and showed you what happened to every single one of them. They didnt just show Earth and go DONE.

I'd imagine that they are torn between being content over

a) A stunning masterpiece of a game

and B) Money

And frustrated over the fanresponse about the ending.
