I've actually sat through the launch of games I've worked on (2 x AAA sports titles) and I can tell you, we definitely were paying attention to both critical and user reviews and feedback. The problem is, how do you respond to the kind of crushing tidal wave of disappointment that is coming from the fanbase currently? And knowing that this is likely only the leading edge of the disappointment - the reason this is blowing up *now* is that players are just starting to finish the game. I can tell you, I made a lot of free time for this game, and I only finished it two days ago. Then I spent a day or so in shock, and then I got mad. I suspect this will only get louder.
That being said, there's almost nothing anyone at Bioware can say. Any statement about this would have to come from the top, and once that happens it becomes policy, so nobody's going to say *anything* until they get official word on what management intends to do (if anything). Management is going to keep their mouths shut as long as possible so they can see what the best direction is to jump. I would bet you green money that behind closed doors there are a lot of concerned phone calls going around. Keep it up, and you'll have an impact. And don't forget to make your opinions known at Metacritic. Privately, people in the industry have been freaked out by the enormous influence of metacritic scores on sales for years - so hit 'em where it hurts.
Thank you for the support, I'm sorry you were as disappointed as us

Yellow ending = Refuse to use the Crucible. Shots of units fighting that you have acquired. Shots of space battle. Reapers win or a Reaper attaching to citadel. A sudden yellow blast goes out, destroying the relays. Reaper killed by fleet action. Shots of those who did not make it and those who did celebrating. A funeral for Shepard or Shepard with some kids wither with a random human or LI. Some kids LI's race if alien. A couple outher shots establishing what happened to others. All with awesome music but no voice overs to save money. (Mass effect main theme perhaps?)
I could go for that.
See, I think this is a mistake to ask for such an ending. This is almost like asking for a Sim-City game.
I think what needs to be asked for is a ending with closure. If everyone dies, sure, show that they die. If the Geth die, sure, show that. If EDI dies, show that.
AND IF SHEPHARD IS ALIVE, show more than just some chest plate raising up and where the heck he/she is in. The chest plate might have just raised as Shep was drawing his/her last breath for all I know.
So I think people should object to this end. Asking for the ending you want on the other hand is problematic. No ending will please anyone in this sense. BUT, there can be an ending that communicates to everyone what happened. That is what is missing in ME3. That is what fans should be asking for.

right now they probably don't care and are ignoring us.
Again, they put alot of long hours and hard work into this. I think they do care. I'm just not sure they know how to handle it yet.

nah, in all seriousness I'm pretty sure a lot of them are taking a (dare I say) well deserved vacation. Granted the ending is lame, but the rest of the game is solid so they deserve it.

I'm sure couple weeks after the last region gets the game released ( I think its 3/15) then an announcement will come saying that bioware "heard our voices" and instantly created a NEW DLC [maybe free for those registered before release of DLC] and it's the "real ending" continuing after [end03_shepard_alive_male.bik] and it'll be a PR success cause they listened to their customers and gave out a free download to anyone who owned it before they added it, and then charge money to new customers who bought it to play it out of curiosity after hearing this firestorm about how bad the ending was.
I wouldn't even be surprised if the content is already on CD, and hidden until the day it supposed to be released (using that nifty date checking thing). Bioware probably already planned for everything and they're all giggling watching everyone just fall right into their carefully planned trap to make moar moneys. Sorry I went on longer than I should've.

Haha what a funny thread. I think they're probably looking at the huge schedule in the atrium saying everything is going to plan. I'm sure they put this ending in on purpose, all planned, they are really creative marketers over there. Think about it just for a second, hype the game up, send copies into upper atmosphere, great CGI/live action advertisements, it got me to pay $80 bucks for the CE. Now throw in an Ending where it will create a FIRESTORM over the internet, Bioware posts says "don't just whine about it go out and do something, like make youtube videos, protest, etc (can't find the original link it buried in forums overnight)" Anyways so they want you to go out and "viral" or market the game for you, once enough people hear of it it'll get into ear of many people...

If your marketing strategy is pissing off a few million players and then saying, "Gotchya!" I don't think you deserve to exist as a company.

Flemeth: Yes, that's right. The races will always use magic to create conflict. So I created Darkspawn to kill them before they make Darkspawn and kill each other. Yes I am the Darkspawn overlord. Now choose the fate of the world.
You can destroy the Darkspawn, but this will also kill all the mages in the world, as well as level every major city, obliterate every road and sink every ship.
You can become the new Darkspawn overlord, but you will die. How you can be the Darkspawn overlord after dying I'm.. not actually sure. But you will. Maybe. Oh and it'll still obliterate every road and sink every ship.
Lastly you can fuse every living being with the Darkspawn, this will insure no more conflict... somehow. But you will die for no particular reason. Yes all the world's infrasctructure is still destroyed, silly.
ALL YOUR WHEELS WILL BECOME SQUARES! SHIPS' MADE OF LEAD! DOOM, DOOM !!!!!
