I can't speak highly enough of this wonderful idea... so I let my money do so.
I did some math - looked at how much I've spent on ME and other Bioware games over the last 10 years, and donated that amount to the charity (and the cause) because I won't be sending that money Bioware's way any longer.

But now I find myself looking at it differently. Even if we do not get new endings Mass Effect 3 is a masterpiece of gaming. It is a wounded masterpiece but it still qualifies as one in my book. Even if we don't get new endings I will love the Mass Effect universe and the time I can have in it in all three games. I will undoubtedly be playing back through all three at some point.
I wouldnt call it wounded. Up until the ending ME3 felt like its on par with ME1 just because of awesome gameplay and storytelling jumped in quality way over ME2, but the ending practically makes the game commit suicide in my eyes with shot to the head. After first few hours of denial it made me not even wanting to look at the whole serie for a day. Good portion of time felt wasted during the last 5 years.
Still, I am going to replay the game differently next weekend. It was fun for a two days and one night afterall.
Im eventually planning to do a "worst possible" ME1-ME3 playthrough where I cripple myself as much as possible just to see what happens.

For me the real disappointment was that 99% of the game was the best game I had ever played, I have never felt so emotionally invested in a game before, even to the point of shedding a tear or two at certain moments.
I was not left with a feeling of sadness at the ending, I just felt a little bemused, assuming I had made some really bad calls somehow and this was the worst possible ending.
I'll be donating the moment the new card arrives. Hold the line!

That's incredibly generous!...But I am so sorry that the Bioware spirit died in you. It hurts I know. Mine's hovering on life support.

could we not turn it into one of these ^^ we need to trust the charity. I would prefer them to give the children what they want rather than saying "NO THATS A ____ PRODUCT!"
<edited for sensitivity... sorry work sucks lol>

That is really not the intention of this charity. If Child's Play ends up purchasing Bioware/EA products with this money then so be it. What really matters is the phenomenal amount of support that this movement is generating both within the community and outside of it.
Hold the Line!

I would say that's not the purpose of the donation drive. We aren't here to hurt, or shame, either Bioware or EA. Just protesting the endings and helping a charity.
For what it's worth, what happens to the money is completely in the hand's of Child's Play; I have no way to control it, and wouldn't try if I did.
Not trying to be harsh, just want to be clear that our purpose here isn't to hurt EA or Bioware.
Glad to have you here with us

Mine died with Dragon Age 2, But I buried it in the Pet Semetary (Sic) just so I could try and resurrect it, but just like in the book, it came back evil and twisted.OneRabidAnt wrote...
