whoopie. You know Justintv and twitch have 'gamers' who sit on their couch all day and do charity groups and gather thousands of dollars? You think doing this means anything? I'm sure the children will be happy but your cause, your reasoning, your goal is moot. so by all means continue to help the children, all press you are receiving is negative, BSN whiners are now the laughing stock of gaming. You are now lower than World of Warcraft 40yr virgin basement dweller stereotypes. All I tried to do is try and prevent this type of behavior to affect all gamers.. but just BSN,,, I can live with

Look, it's just like a carnival folks!  Pay your dollar to see the troll!

Nope. The first 1k and the 10k givers are still anonymous. Which I think is a nice thing =)

I only named myself because I wanted my logic out there:  I calculated how much I've spent on Bioware goods (I've been around a while... back to their start) and factored that I'm no longer willing to purchase anything from them.  I figure over 10 years that is easily 1k.

So a small portion of profit diverted to a much better cause.

Plus,  I'm really pissed and this was the first postiive thing I felt in days.

You are all very impressive, kind, givng and generally wonderful folks and I'm delighted to be a part of the fleet.

Wooohooo!! I totally agree. I've felt soooo great since we started this up (Monday night?? 1am?). This is so much better than the awful emotions I was going through because of the sucky end prior!!

Hold the line!

Oh I didn't mean to detract from your donation!  If anything I'm still in awe.  Honestly the emotional investment I've sunk into Bioware games over the years (not to mention lost productivity...:pinched:)..to me are worth well over a grand...Just unfortunatly at the moment I didn't have a grand laying around haha.  Much props to you though :wizard:

If I had more money I'd deal with these trolls like Lisa Lampenelli did with the Westboro Baptist trolls . A couple of bucks every time they troll on through,

I've donated to the cause, but what a letdown from the Penny Arcade guys, who's charity we're donating to.

Particularly grating is Gabe's last snarky line:

"The book has been written and you can change the way you read it but don’t pretend you’re the author."

Sigh.

Oh well, the charity drive is for a good cause, no matter what.

Hold the line.

You have to remeber though that those 2 have worked with Bioware in the past and still might be for future titles. They aren't gonna start bashing the ending.

If you look at the RSS feed you'll see there was another $1000 donor that got lost in the masses somewhere around the first time someone donated $1000. Anyways, anonymous or not, big or small, all donations help the kids. Thank you, all of you, for your continued support. =]

Lol, well, Gabe admitted many times throughout that he didn't know much about the ME universe. So I can forgive the snark.  Artistic integrity is something people are passionate about (including myself) so I can't blame them for bringing it up in this issue.

Didn't read it that way at all, don't worry.  I'd just been struggling for 5 days to come up with a meaningful way to express my emotional state and am so grateful to all who put this together for providing it.

I have felt very foolish and silly for being (STILL) so upset over a video game.  Seeing that I'm not alone has meant something to me (no straightjacket just yet).

This idea is just perfect.  Now I just think some of us should go hang out with the kids and play some games!

Well to Gabe all I have to say is, I never chose green, green was never an option.  The options were as presented to me as Win/Lose.  Win/Lose they way I wanted, the way I chose, not throw up options never posed before in 10 minutes.

Hold the line.

That's true.  And honestly before this I've NEVER felt motivated enough after a game (good or bad) to really throw myself into a forum before. And even with DA2 (which I didn't particularly care for and I LOVED DAO)...I thought the people calling for lynchings were going a bit far.  So I can see how from an outsider's point of view this could be seen as a massive nerdrage gone wild.
