Mines still showing $337. still good to see more money is coming in!  Loaded in IE and it showed the updates, must be a cache issue.

ETA: Jumped to $517 !

While I admire this, I think this could ultimately come back to bite everyone in the butt.

People could get the wrong idea, like we're not donating sincerely for the kids, but rather to fix a game.

BUT, I will say, an interesting way to take this. Either way, I hope this turns out well. I'll see how much money I have and donate some later.

This donation option was made to prove that we aren't a bunch of whiny, selfish brats. Keep that in mind, and don't for one second rub it in Bioware's face. No good will come of that

I wouldn't have donated if I didn't already love Child's Play. Which itself was formed in response to immature attacks on gamers by journalists who didn't know what they were talking about (Sounds familiar doesn't it?!) So while I don't think we can deny that we want to make a positive impression from our actions we must all go in knowing that if nothing happens besides Child's Play getting money donated to it then it is still a GREAT thing.

That I could donated was mostly a coincidence actually. I had a little money left on my debit card and pulled into a McDonalds parking lot to get some food and drinks for people at home but there were too many cars and I didn't want to wait. Instead I'm donating that to Child's Play now, which I've always wanted but not been able to do, while getting some good PR out. Win-win all around.

Thank you! Obviously, this will be a touchy subject, and we absolutely need to handle it with care. I encourage us all to IMMEDIATELY mark and report anyone who posts on this thread along the lines of "Take this Bioware" or "See, we aren't selfish!" 

It is absolutely imperative we do this

As I said on facebook. This may not help our cause. But it is a just cause nonetheless and everything we do for it, not only reflects well on us, but does wonders for kids that don't have the luxury of enjoying great games like Mass Effect that we have.

No matter what happens. If we get a new ending or not. Even if EA and Bioware tell us to deal with it. Good will come out of this no matter what. I know I am doing what I can to help the kids... Lets keep this going and on the front page. I personally and promoting via facebook, and other sources, but will do my best to keep this going here too.
