European gamers are already here, I asure you.
Don't forget our gamers started 2 days later into the game and some may need some time before they see the ending of this awesome series.

I chipped in my money yesterday at 32k and now we're at roughly 44k. I'm at a loss for words. This is so awesome.
I never felt the need to post here, but when I found this topic yesterday, I wanted to be part of the group.
Since I had some problems posting here, I acted on the voting and donating front first.
But now - as you can see - I'm finally here, ready and waiting.

Hold the line.

I agree, that different release may have delayed some of us european gamers.
I actually prolonged my playthrough because I wanted to savour it (well, a whole lot of good that did me).
I kept on playing until  morning until I finished, five minutes later I was here in the forum and five more minutes later I had donated and joined the line.

Likewise, though I'm just a 'murrican that has a sleep disorder (for the time being anyway - hope to move soon), although donations hadn't started yet by the time I joined. And the damn ending kept me from sleeping at all that night, and from sleeping much for a couple days after. -_-

Hello! I'm too broke to donate anything, but I support you with my heart that, unfortunately, doesn't have any money either... Positive reaction to a terrible ending makes me a proud Bioware fan!

If you use any social networks like twitter or facebook or visit other gaming websites/boards a link can sometimes bring in more than you could've donated!

3 things

1: this has made me proud to be part of the gamer community. I have NEVER gotten to say that before and mean it.

2: I have no idea who should coordinate it, but if we want this movement to continue to spread we are going to have to break into the European forums, even the ones that are not in English. So this is a call to anyone who is bilingual. The war effort needs translators, we need people getting on other forums and spreading the word.

3: Just a word of encouragement. Everyone who is donating to the charity is helping even more than they know. My mother has the privilege of being a doctor and she would tell you that nothing, and i mean nothing, helps people get through tough illnesses like feeling loved by those around them. I know it sounds cheezy and lame, but think about this, your nine years old and your laid up in a hospital bed, you feel like hell, then your doctor brings in a console so you can play a game on the tv in your room. You ask them were it came from, they say it is from a charity, because someone cared enough about you, to give you this. Someone who hasn't even met you, doesn't even know your name cared enough to try and make your day a little brighter. That's worth even more than the game they gave you, trust me.

tldr, im going to make a paypal account, i need to get in on this action.

Hold the Line. Help the Children

That end part made me teary-eyed, thanks for that.

did'nt mean to mess with your rythm or anything, just hoped that people would feel a little bit of the good they were doing

I finally figured out what was nagging me about the very end.  It's the Battlestar Galactica ending, sans eloquence and quality crafting.

Also, when I get my next paycheck I'll be donating ;)

My thoughts about it were this:
It was like replacing the end of Saving Private Ryan with Space Odyssey.

that is very good to hear. It would be a real shame for this to stall and die after just a few days. I really don't think ive ever seen anything quiet like this.

I mean really, how many examples in history, game related or not, can you think of in which a large group of people were really really angry about something. So they decided to get together and give money to charity. Yeah, thats what normal people do when they are angry...right?

Makes me laugh with happiness just thinking about it.

<_< My husband and I were talking about this earlier.  BSG already did that ending and they did it a lot  fraking better.

BSG's end is IMHO epic. Some sort of this for ME3 and the series would have become TRUE UNFORGETTABLE!!!

It shows the small line between epic and epic fail...

btw:
let me take your attention to this site:

http://retakeme3.priv.nu/

IMHO very very good work to show the public peak on only one site!

Just to make sure everything's clear

Are we still gonna go through with the donation if bioware keeps their ending?

Because if we're not,

Wow,

Gamers sure are a bunch of sadistic fks.

How is there even a misconception here? Not only have we talked about this extensively but there's even this on the ChipIn site:

Right when you donate. All of the money raised goes directly to
Child's Play. You are basically making a direct Paypal transaction with
donate@childsplaycharity.org. The only thing that ChipIn does is to
track how many people have donated and how much. There is no "goal"
amount, there is no turning back. Regardless of the outcome of the
petition, your donations are going to the charity.

We are doing this so something positive comes out of us coming together, regardless of what happens with the petition.

The donations are through - that's the point. Whatever BioWare does we already did something good and we're certainly not using it as leverage or crap like that.
