I don't know how the other media are picking this up, but one of the leading Dutch tech websites just posted an article on Retake Mass Effect 3. It is in Dutch, but I am sure google translate can create something that is somewhat readable and somewhat amusing at the same time :)

I used to not mind Jim Sterling- he's a troll, and everyone knows it. Usually, he has some really well thought out points, even if you have to sit through a ton of poison to get to them. He hasn't definitely explained why he regards the movement so poorly. He hasn't responded to the 'living piece of art' argument, and he hasn't provided a better course of action for us to take (as if there was one) in order to express our hurt and dissatisfaction with a consumer product. So, I'd like it if everyone just ignored him for awhile- and concentrated on politely correcting the people at MSNBC.

Yeah. I just got really irked that he mentioned getting spammed by people telling him about the charity--and so gave us self entiteld whiners the "good" story we deserved. What a class act.  I'll never be able to take that guy seriously after this.

Anyways, nice msnbc article. I think that came out the day before, or the day that the charity got going.

The reaction I'm hoping for if/when certain journalists finally get around to playing the game:

HighSpecter has the link there to Sl4sh3r's fleet banners - my album here has some custom character ones specifically for the donations here, as well as the little button you may have seen - I'll be putting more in there as time goes on, too, so if you have any requests, message me and let me know! ^_^

Awesome banners, definitely using the one with Liara in it, Thanks!Posted Image

How do you get images to work? everytime I try using the img code it just gives me a *image removed* message.

Well, you need the direct link to an image.  You put that between (img) and (/img), only replace the parantheses with [ ] .

That's awesome! I wish the guy replying to them had been a tad more polite... BUT, all in all that was a good thing to see. :)

Hold the line!

Hey folks! Chipped in my bit, and just wanted to drop by and show my support.

Don't let any hateful flak slow us down, this is bigger than just retake now.
I hold no illusions that we may get the ending the Mass Effect trilogy deserved, but in the end the money will still have been raised for the kids, and no amount of venomous or ignorant press can take that away.

I'm so proud of the community for turning feelings of betrayal and anger into a real, tangibly positive result. No matter what we'll be called, or how this is remembered, we'll still have made a difference, kid's lives will still have been brightened, if only a little.

And if no one else knows, we'll still know that we held the line.

btw... 45k!

I just chipped in myself, and posting to keep this thread alive and relevant. This is, imho, the best way to get positive attention to our cause, and hopefully a clear message to Bioware of the sort of financial support they're going to be losing if they don't do anything about it.

I'm honestly hoping it's not a numbers game with them. I still love Bioware, but I hope they get a sense of how betrayed and alienated a lot of their fans feel. A dlc could go a long way in mending the bridge.
