This makes me think of my great-nephew Nathan when he was in the hospital for six months while undergoing treatment for a brain tumor when he was just a two years old.  When I heard the news I went into a panic and some of my BSN friends calmed me down and kept me in their thoughts/prayers during the process which helped a lot.  I could talk to them without worrying my family more.

Back then Nathan wasn't really into videogames but now he loves the Wii.  I just think of all the other kids and family that are stuck in hospitals for literally MONTHS at a time.  It's so hard on the family and kids and anything the brings a little joy and normalacy into their life is a worthwhile cause.  My sister and my niece were there for weeks on end alternating,  It's hell people it really is.  Anything to help is good.

Think it should be quickly clarified (if it hasn't already been. Sorry in advance if it has.) that Child's Play is not just supplying video games, but toys of all types. The sad reality is that many of these children have such fragile immune systems that something as simple as sharing a toy with another child can be extremely hazardous to their health, so they need new, untouched toys. I just wanted to clarify for anyone who thinks that $600 is going towards ten video games or something like that.
