$45K!! Way to "hold the line" peoples!! I'm so happy, yesterday morning - and I am sure this morning here in a few minutes when I leave for work - I just cried in the car the whole way while driving. :)

I think 50K is important because... that's one dollar for every year the rEApers hide in deep space!
I can't wait to get to it - and go through it! I'm so proud of everyone here!
The kids will be so happy!

Hold the line!

I've just been reading comments on a few of the articles about Retake. From what I saw, almost every negative comment is then followed by several polite, logical, and persuasive rebuttals by Retake supporters. Sometimes the detractors then reply back with a change of opinion, probably because up till recently the media were feeding them inaccurate information.

What this means is that not only have we made a good portion of the media start to report our actions more positively, but on the negative pieces we're still turning opinions with our great, organised, and above all generous community. This is a battle we can win, and the tide feels like it's beginning to turn.

HOLD THE LINE!!

Wait, maybe this is all initiated by BioWare and they wait for us to reach 50k before they announce the new ending!
Anyway, 45k, yay!

I just donated $100. $20 more than I paid for the game itself.

Dear Bioware, you fail. Good day to you sirs.

I'd certainly like that to be true. That did happen fairly fast at the beginning, don't know how quick
a release of that level of funds would be approved at Bioware.

The ending to ME3 was the biggest disapointment in science fiction since the phantom menace.

Power Unlimited, one of the biggest video-game magazines in the Benelux (Europe's Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg), also wrote an article about our charity movement.

http://www.pu.nl/pow...naar-hoogtepunt

For those who don't understand Dutch, let me recap what he said:

First he starts wit saying that he hasn't finished Mass Effect 3 yet himself, so he wouldn't know how bad the ending really is. However, his collegues at Power Unlimited finished Mass Effect 3 and his collegue replied: "If the endings of your video-game are so bad that a massive amount of people are asking for other endings, then obviously you did something wrong."

Then he talks about how Casey Hudson replied with his "mystery" crap. The writer of the article somehow agrees with Casey Hudson, saying that a developer should have the right to decide how their game ends themselves, not the fans.

But, in the end the writer of the article does say that he takes our initiative seriously. The ammount of money that we managed to raise so far is no joke. BioWare really should start taking us seriously by now.

Nice to wake up and find we're at 45k this morning.  Also, to add to the list of positive press that's come our way...

Great! She's been really cool.  She's been following us since the Retake movement started, and has been very kind each time she's covered the charity.

Most corporations have a fund specifically for donations, so it wouldn't take them long at all to approve it. I'm pretty sure it was them, they've always been a classy company even during fan disagreements like this. Yay BioWare!

Wow what a great piece, well put and excellent reporting.
More research and fact in that than a handful of other, more pathetic articles out there.

I just did my donation today, so I just wanted to post on here and say this is a really great idea, and I am glad were helping so many kids out. That, in itself, is a great, paragon deed and its just... heart warming.

Hold the line! :) (sorry ot be off topic, just wanted to say thanks !)
