A tear?? Nooooo...It was a strange excess of bodily fluid which somehow found it's way out in my eye. Must be a secondary liquid wase drainage pipe or something coming out there. Everyone knows men don't have tears! :innocent:txmn1016 wrote...

Great positive article! It's even called: "Hold the Line!" It really hi-lites the charity and the maturity of our movement. Give it a look-see!

Love this article, really highlights how this is about so much more than just an ending. It's a new beginning for us and most of all..... the children.
Hold the line!

Wow, the official endings thread is on fire. Although, I don't think Chris has said one word in the past 14 pages that have popped up in the last 10 minutes.
What did his original post say?

We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback.
In the meantime, let's give appreciation to Commander Shepard. Whether you loved the ME3 ending or didn't or you just have a lot of questions, he/she has given many of us some of the best adventures we have had while playing games. What was your favorite moment? smilie
smilie"
...so, he's kind of like--I'm opening a thread to talk about the endings, but let's not talk about the endings just yet. What was your favorite moment? LOL.
No response on the endings so far, obviously. It was a nice act though. Giving the BSN a little hope by officially sanctioning an endings thread and another "we're paying attention to you" comment.

Isn't that Thread more meant to be a place for everything but the Ending? With all the "we are listening to the ending feedback BUT what did you actually like" sentiments?^^

It was supposed to, because it's a simple trick in community managment: focus people on the good parts, so you can slowly do damage control over the bad ones. As for the chances of the community of getting a proper ending, it's better to stay focused. AND HOLD THE LINE.

Eh. There's already an official endings thread. And there's no need to sticky it. It's been on fire for weeks (and rightly so):

I think it might be more of a "look, we're still here" kind of thread.. As I wrote this the thread grew from 17 to 19 pages. No way anybody can get a proper discussion going with so many replies...
Yeah, I see it as more damage control. Kind of like, look, we're not ignoring you. Which is totally fine. They're listening (I never doubted that they would), and that's the best we can ask for at this point.

If that's what they meant to do, I'm not sure why they thought it would work the way they wanted. Sure, I'll say what I like(which are countless, I mean the game really is ace on the whole), then restate the ending screwed it all to hell. I can take part!

Hey everyone! I'm awake and back to the war effort.
I'd like to help with some of the questions that came up.
1) All the money we raise up to April 11th automatically goes to the charity, regardless of BioWare doing anything or not.
2) The drive does not end until April 11th. We have plenty of time! Pace yourselves, don't get discouraged by trolls, or gaming websites mocking us. Hold the line!
3) A lot of people could not donate right away, they had to wait for their next paycheck (I'm waiting for my next one to donate moar!) so this is going to keep on building.
There have been a couple of themes repeated over and over in these threads - and for the people who don't have the time to read all 127 pages, I thought I would try to summarize them.
First and foremost - a good percentage of the people posting here - felt just like I did. After finishing the game, they felt depressed and at a total loss as to why BioWare would do this to the franchise, the characters in it - and to us. BioWare's total silences, or hinted shock that the fans would not like the ending - has not helped matters. But, after starting this up and helping - whether through a $0.03 cent donation to get on "OneRabidAnt"s nerves (hahaha!) or a $10,000 dollar donation, or simply spreading the word...
Those feelings of frustration evolved into wonderful feelings of happiness and possibly, hope!
Regardless of what happens, a lot of children stuck in hospitals are going to be happier!
Another "theme" floating around is that a lot of us feel this is what Admiral Anderson or Commander Shepard (or even Captain Kirrahe) would want us to do. Turn something massively negative into a positive. To not give up on our desire to see not the ending we feel WE deserve, but to see the ending we feel Shepard and the franchise deserves!
Finally, all of the money goes directly to Child's Play. When you donate, you can have a receipt printed or emailed to you for tax purposes. As many have stated before me, if you are uncomfortable donating to this particular charity, donate to any charity you like - trust us - it will start to heal the hurt you have over the ending of the game and help you feel better about humanity in general.
I think that is everything, anyone feel free to correct me!
and
Hold the line!
Pennies for space magic! ....and children.
