Thank you to Sl4sh3r for the War Asset fleet signatures and the combined retake/child's play signature.

Special thanks:

Thanks to everyone who is supporting this idea!

Uhh, can some one PM me the link for those, I saw it earlier but cannot find it now, and Although it doesn't have an NZ one, I'll just sport the Child'splay one.

Sorry for not making it clear, my post was supposed to sound sarcastic; should've made that clearer.

I am following this movement for days now and the (In)Official Ending Thread is on constant refresh. (Also posted my opinion there, see sig).

I just wanted to say that the Thread of Mr. Priestly is not meant as a Thread to discuss the ending. That everyone does jump there because "Hey BioWare Representative Spotted, Engage!" mode was engaged should have been clear looking at the Twitter Posts from yesterday.^^

There's the money I would have spent on DLC. You don't know how embarrassing it is to have to explain to your dog why you're crying...I can feel him judging me even now.

Yeah.  If he hadn't put "endings" in the title of the thread, I would have been totally ok with it.  He states pretty clearly in his post that they can't talk about endings yet.  So, why put that in the subject? Anyway.  Doesn't really matter. I'm just glad they're listening.

I love this idea, and I already gave, but I have a feeling we'll be donating once again when my husband finishes. :/

Nice to see a more focused "we're listening" message, and I can actually understand them wanting to wait for everyone to have a chance to finish before making official pronouncements, I suppose.

Lolz.  That's funny because my dog just sort of put her head in my lap and looked at me like, "omg what's wrong?"

I've been part of this thing pretty much from the beginning, but couldn't tell my husband because he hadn't finished the game yet and I didn't want to spoil the endings for him by even implying that they were terrible.  When he finally did finish, he was like, "we're definitely giving more money!"

Does anyone know if there has been any progress in getting the word out to the other (foreign) sections of the BSN?

That's so awesome!!!!  (About donating not that your husband hated the ending).Posted Image My hubby doesn't play ME but he has given all of us his full support.  I would love to see that $50,001 mark.  Payday is next week, I can donate more than.

Heya, folks. Yesterday was laundry day (and I kinda got into it with somebody making absolutely incoherent and rude points about Retake ME3 on Facebook, so that took a bit of time before I realized obvious troll was beyond civility and logical argument), so I'm trying to catch up. Glad to see more positive press for the drive and the movement. Who ever would have thought that we'd be calling $6000 in under 24 hours a "slow day"? This is the real Space Magic! :wizard:

Lol.  I think I read this wrong--at first I thought that you got in a fight with someone about the Retake charity in a laundry room.  Anyways, glad to have you back. :D

Finally got to donate! This movement is incredible! I'm glad to contribute and will probably throw another $10-20 down when my boyfriend finishes the game!

cyrrant - LOL

I agree the "new" post allowing us to discuss with them the endings is a bit of "damage control". There has got to be more than enough evidence about how it is messed up if they wanted to look.
For example - so far, I think this articel sums it up best:
http://www.gamefront...fans-are-right/

All they have to do is read that, and say, "Oh this is what the 98% of the unhappy people are saying"...

That Bumba article was GREAT! More tears of joy. :)
http://bumbabroadsid...and-of-protest/

I'm not going to post in that other thread - like my friend txmn1016 said, "I'll stay here with you fine people, thanks".

I have to go back to work :P popped in at lunch to see how things are going, but I'd rather be here too! Everyday it seems our mature, non-flaming, do-something-good-like-Shepard-would-do approach is getting us more and more positive press.
So remember, talking here with us, or on twitter, or responding to BioWare posts, be civil and treat them like you would like them to treat you.

Hold the line!

Hey everyone! I'm awake and back to the war effort. :)

I'd like to help with some of the questions that came up.

1) All the money we raise up to April 11th automatically goes to the charity, regardless of BioWare doing anything or not.
2) The drive does not end until April 11th. We have plenty of time! Pace yourselves, don't get discouraged by trolls, or gaming websites mocking us. Hold the line!
3) A lot of people could not donate right away, they had to wait for their next paycheck (I'm waiting for my next one to donate moar!) so this is going to keep on building.

There have been a couple of themes repeated over and over in these threads - and for the people who don't have the time to read all 127 pages, I thought I would try to summarize them.

First and foremost - a good percentage of the people posting here - felt just like I did. After finishing the game, they felt depressed and at a total loss as to why BioWare would do this to the franchise, the characters in it - and to us. BioWare's total silences, or hinted shock that the fans would not like the ending - has not helped matters. But, after starting this up and helping - whether through a $0.03 cent donation to get on "OneRabidAnt"s nerves (hahaha!) or a $10,000 dollar donation, or simply spreading the word...
Those feelings of frustration evolved into wonderful feelings of happiness and possibly, hope!

Regardless of what happens, a lot of children stuck in hospitals are going to be happier!

Another "theme" floating around is that a lot of us feel this is what Admiral Anderson or Commander Shepard (or even Captain Kirrahe :) ) would want us to do. Turn something massively negative into a positive. To not give up on our desire to see not the ending we feel WE deserve, but to see the ending we feel Shepard and the franchise deserves!

Finally, all of the money goes directly to Child's Play. When you donate, you can have a receipt printed or emailed to you for tax purposes. As many have stated before me, if you are uncomfortable donating to this particular charity, donate to any charity you like - trust us - it will start to heal the hurt you have over the ending of the game and help you feel better about humanity in general. :)

I think that is everything, anyone feel free to correct me!

and

Hold the line!

Pennies for space magic! ....and children. :wizard:

Hey, Rabid, what's your birthday, I wonder? I'm going to donate that many pennies =D

Dunno if anyone posted this yet, but tweakers.net, a very popular dutch website, posted an article about the movement:

http://tweakers.net/...s-effect-3.html

I am too lazy to translate it, but it's a good and neutral article.
